If you are ever considering switching to linux but worried you wont be able to use the program you have on Windows. Try this chart as reference.

Installing Linux for the first time on my unused laptop so I can use it to take notes in classes.
I was about to make a post asking about games and word like programs I can use when I saw that your post answered my question!

Or, if you have the space, you can dual boot. I run XP Pro in VBox on my Slackware. That way I don't worry about crossover apps. Adding more options. Thanks for the list.

Indeed.

If CrossOver and other such compatibility programs/applications don't work for you, then I suggest dual-booting or running Windows in a Virtual Box.
