How to use cheats on epsxe emulator

[Original Boss]

Hey guys today i'm going to show you how to use cheats on the popular emulator called epsxe

So first thing you need to do is download this program

Once its downloaded open it up click next until you reach this part

You need to install this plugin in the plugins folder of your epsxe emulator so go to that directory and install it in the folder like so

Once that's done keep clicking next until its finished you should end up with a shortcut on your desktop open up epsxe go to config click video and choose the psx emulation cheater don't worry it will not replace your actual plugin you use

Now click the config button under the plugin bar a new window will appear now choose the plugin you used before

Click okay and proceed to open psx emulation cheater now you will need to know the region of your game in order for certain cheats to work if you don't know what region it is open up epsxe and click run then click enable logs and restart epsxe

After that run a game you want to cheat on let it load once you know the game is running exit the game now look at the logs it should display the region of the game like so

Now you know the region of your game so go over to the psx emulation cheater and pick the region of the game and search it in the list i'm going to be using alundra 2 once you pick it tick the cheats what you want that are available on the right just a warning don't go nuts on the cheats as it could crash epsxe once that's done click the send cheats to plugin at the bottom

Now start the game and have fun!

im not sure since i dont make many threads lol, did you reload the page after you made the thread to see if it showed?

Good guide for those people who didn't know how to use the program. My only problem is that you didn't explain what to do if the cheats that you want aren't available already or don't exist in the list.


Step 1: File > User database...

Step 2: Click Add Cheat then name your cheat (optional but recommended for obvious reasons)

Step 3: Place your cheat in the two small rectangular boxes (ex: [8008459C] [FFFF] ) then hit Add.

Step 4. Make sure you repeat step 3-a for ALL line of codes in every individual cheat.

Step 5: Hit OK (the one beside Add) when you're done adding the necessary line(s) of code.

Step 6: Hit OK at the very bottom right of the window and activate your cheats via psx plugin as you would normally.

You can use cheat codes in the latest version of Epsxe which i believe is 1.8.0

I didn't even know 1.8.0 was out! PEC has been good to me, but I'm all too ready to trade it in for a decent built-in cheat device. Thanks, Boss! ^-^
