Deathsmiles and DoDonPachi creator has plenty on the boil
Former Cave producer Makoto Asada has announced no less than three new games for Xbox One, following the announcement of no less than three new games for Xbox One. Three plus three equals six, arithmetic fans. Crikey, where have they all been hiding? Are these the first tumbling pebbles that herald a landslide of Japanese-made Xbox One exclusives?

Inside Games reports (via Siliconera) that the first of Asada's new games will be revealed at E3, the second at some point before this year's Tokyo Game Show in September. One of the games is presumably the "Division 8" project, teased in April. They'll all be published by MAGES, a subsidiary of 5pb.

Further details are scarce, but you can probably expect at least one of the games to be a "bullet hell" shooter - Asada is the creator of the fearsome Deathsmiles (gameplay video below) and DoDonPachi Maximum. He's also the man behind recent Xbox Live action-puzzler Constant C, and the Xbox 360 exclusive visual novel Instant Brain.

According to head of Xbox Phil Spencer, Microsoft has partnered with at least one "awesome Japanese studio" to release a major Xbox One exclusive. Asada has serious form, but I doubt he's well-known enough to fit the bill. It's rumoured that Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising developer PlatinumGames is the mystery third party.15054
