Best Single Graphics Card

So guys, I'm out to keep continually building on to my current PC until I have an absolute monster, for now, I have a starting rig, but I play on getting a better graphics card. I saw somewhere that 780 Ti was the most powerful single graphics card out right now, and then I saw somewhere else that the Titan beats it out, any reccomendations?

If you want a single-gpu graphics card ,Titan z isnt a option lol.I woul bet in a R9 290x,but Titan is a good Graphic card too.
