You can upgrade for US$4.99 / £3.99 / AU$6.65
Finally. Mojang's smash hit Minecraft will be released for Xbox One on the Xbox Store this Friday, and next-gen customers can buy the new version from as little as US$4.99 / £3.99 / AU$6.65

That low, low price only applies if you own and have played the digital or physical version of Minecraft on Xbox 360. You'll also need to connect to Xbox Live with your account, too, in order to qualify for the above price tag. For anyone who doesn't have an Xbox 360 version, Minecraft on Xbox One will cost $US19.99 / £15.99 / AU$26.95, and Microsoft has said that physical copies will be on sale globally 'this holiday'.

There's more good news for existing owners, as all the content packs you've bought will also transfer across. Considering there's stacks of skins, including these Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Who themed packs, everyone should be pleased.
15557Minecraft on Xbox One will transfer all your existing worlds across from the Xbox 360 version, so you can play in four-player local split screen, or with up to seven other friends on Xbox Live. It also looks stunning with a plate full of peas - 1080p, in fact, and running at 60fps - providing bigger worlds, faster draw time and greater draw distance on the One.

Do you already own Minecraft on Xbox 360? Think you'll upgrade? Or have you never, ever played (welcome to Earth, by the way) and think you'll finally give it a go?
