you can derank using the awsome save edit program in this forum by jappi88
its in act 2 but u could join sum1 further back
ak with 999999999 ammo
most items 9999
fists
5 pistols with 999999 ammo

NOTE: you will need to use modio or something similar to set your console/user I'd to the save file, this save has been tested and works fine, open up one of your saves in modio to get the ids you need. copy and paste them into my save using modio, stick on a USB or transfer cabel and your ready to rock

It comes up with some lame object error when you try to open it in the editor and it the save doesn't even show up when you try to load it in game. I changed the id's and rehashed etc like I've done for hundreds of saves. Still nothing.

One thing to note when I got it loaded up the save only had 26 skill points, not the intended 49.

Not exactly sure myself. I just know everything else is right except the skill points. The infinite ammo, 9999 on most items, etc.

under mod tools in this forum jappi's dead island save game editor , [1.6] it can not do the skill tree or ammo yet.
if u want to do the ammo yourself you have to open your save in a hex editor , search firearm_ , to the left find the letters BF (will b on the same line or one above or below the firearm_ string ) , change the 4 boxes before the bf to 05 F5 E0 FF

or add me to xbox, Ghosti x CliPzZ, and join my game and I'll drop u shed lodees of maxed out guns..

the skill tree I can't remember howto do, google power .

It's all good. They opened fine on Horizon. These are some awesome saves man! The shotgun totally owns the zombies lol! Thanks heaps for these!

UPDATE: It loaded up a few times ( 3 or 4) but now when it tries to load it freezes on the loading screen every time. Oh well it was fun while it lasted lol!

strange, similar thing happened to me after I crammed the storage girl full of stuff, but I just dash boarded after it said corrupt file and tried agIn and it worked :/ .

It freezes to the point that you can't dash board out. The whole thing is frozen. You have to turn off the xbox to get out of it. I tested a non modded save to see if it was a game glitch but that one loaded fine. I might trying using the editor to lower my inventory item numbers and see if that helps lol!

I could not get the save to load, just doesnt work at all, cant even see it. I just gunna use the new save editor version since they fixed the level editor.

Would someone give me some advice as to what exactly I'm doing wrong, I keep getting a 'Corrupted' file error whenever extracting. I'm doing the standard rehash and resigning, but, whenever I attempt to load the save data in-game it's corrupted.

This is f*ing awesome! Thank you very much; It froze once when I was trading guns with a friend to the point that I had to turn my xbox off, but it worked out for the best, my friend got the guns with unlimited ammo and since my game froze I kept them too, so now we both have the same guns. The process of getting this to work was pretty easy so it shouldn't be a problem for anybody. The files are working fine, I've had them for a few days now. I'm gonna try that hex editor thing, it sounds kinda fun although I may end up messing something up so wish me luck. Thank you again for this files!!!

Great post,i found a hex editing tutorial elswhere and added 7F FF FF FF before the BF for my colt pistol and did nothing for my ammo amount but at least i don't have to reload,just wondering if i did something wrong..I'll give your code a try..thanks much
