Nintendo has quietly distanced itself from the controversial Stop Online Piract Act which is known as SOPA.

Nintendo originally endorsed the bill as of November but have quietly removed themselves from the list sometime in the past month.

EA has also backed away from the proposed bill.

Can't fault them really, I wouldn't want to get caught up in the middle of that either. Especially if this drags out for a while, they've got the Wii U launch to think about

As long as the Entertainment Software Association still supports SOPA, it thereby means that Microsoft Corp., EA, Nintendo, Square-Enix, and other game companies on this list: http://www.theesa.com/about/members.asp are still partially supporting SOPA.
So even though they might withdraw support publicly, they're still supporting it from the shadows.
