Selected Xbox 360 owners offered $75 to upgrade to Xbox One
It's US-only for the moment
As discovered by NeoGAF, Microsoft is handing out a princely $75 in credit to selected Xbox 360 owners when they upgrade to Xbox One. The deal applies to any purchases made in July, and the code must be redeemed by 15th October 2014. It's a US-only deal at the moment.
This is Microsoft's way of saying "thanks for being an Xbox fan", apparently. I'd have plumped for a fruit basket and a foot massage, but I guess times are tight.Attachment 15275
You might recall that last year Microsoft ran a deal offering PS3 and Xbox 360 owners $100 to upgrade to an Xbox One. Did anybody here take advantage of that?

Yeah $75 that you have to spend through xbl, gotta love the (exclusions apply) part too, you'd think they'd keep it at $100 at least since ps4 is still outselling the xbox one.

Interesting, maybe the changes they made are starting to have an effect now. I still can't decide which one to get since the xbox one isn't looking as bad as it did at launch. Haven't really seen an exclusives that make me want one system over the other, they both have some pretty fun looking games. Decisions, decisions.....

Give me a lump sum for all my arcade title, and Games on demand as well. I have over 100 Arcade titles, and 30 Games on demand,, and 4 Xbox original titles, Plus 30 disk games. 360 is not going anywhere as I am still having fun with all my games. Not the best console for my gaming needs, but what I do have I enjoy a lot.
Until either console comes out with no less then 7 titles I want I am getting neither.

Yeah the lack of backwards compatibility on the new xbox is making it a difficult choice, I must have 65+ games on disk and a 360 that I've had for about five years now. It's only a matter of time before it dies, already has some issues, I really don't want to have to buy two xbox consoles since I'll probably have to replace my 360 soon.
