Editor Help

I have tried several editors and programs. I have watched a crap load of tutorials... I a really only having two problems that are kinda big ones.... first; when I transfer a save game to my computer from on a USB drive it doesn't appear on the drive when I open it. so when it says drag on drop I have nothing to drag or drop, hahahaha.... the second is deals with editors that use extracted files, they through an error code about JIT debugging.... any help would be great. Not to sure if it matters, but I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit...
