Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition
Attachment 1184
Mass Effect 3 will allow you to choose whether various characters live or die, BioWare announced this morning during Microsoft's E3 2011 press conference.
Quote:
CEO Ray Muzyka took to the stage to reveal the added functionality -- rumored just this past week -- detailing the functionality as voice commands for various effect.
Choosing whether characters live or die (by voice) and ordering around your squad around the battlefield were both shown off, though it's possible more features will be added before the game's planned early 2012 launch. We're not exactly sure why Kinect is required for this functionality where an Xbox 360 headset would work (a la Ruse), but it sure is neat being able to command someone's death with nothing more than the sound of our voice.
Re: Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition
Nah... i personally dont like all this "Kinect" stuff in the big games, like Mass Effect =/ it better stay away from it, but just voice commands? ok, i can live with that if ME3 WILL NOT BE A KINECT REQUIRED GAME, ok?)
Re: Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition
cant wait for this to come out. i still have to beat me2 on the ps3.
March 6, 2012 <---release date
Re: Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition
Man I love this game can't wait to play it I was thinking about picking up the kinect anyway but now i can get it to play this, should be fun getting a new experience with this game, although that is pretty dumb that you cant just use the mic on it's own.
Re: Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition
wish they would bring me1 to the ps3.
Re: Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition

Re: Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition
That does sound kinda cool but I still won't buy Kinect.
I am hoping March 6th is concrete that makes it 2 years which I like
Re: Mass Effect 3 gets Kinect support with voice recognition
Currently my most anticipated game, cant wait to see how the series ends. Not sure about barking orders at the TV though.
