i for one would love not haveing a disc because then it wouldn't get scratched or cracked

That would mostly be on you and not at microsoft. Sure the cd cases are awful at times but there are other places to keep your disc.

Personally, I don't like the "idea" of no disc drive. Something appeals to me as Microsoft losing income so they're resorting to no packaging.

Don't think they will be doing this. They will basically force people to get internet just to play games. Or they don't have the speeds to download games. Would hurt sells for them also.

The scary thing is that doing that would fit in with some companies plans to make more games "always online" to work. Diablo 3 did it, the new civilization as well; personally I'd rather have a disk that I could play where and when I want without needing an internet connection constantly, I want the game, not a leash shoved up my ass for buying it, lol.

Theyre gonna make many groups (like game collectors) really mad if thats actually true. The PS4 has a Blue-Ray and I dont really think that MS is ready for such a radical step which may cost them too much.
