Microsoft issues a fix for recent Gamerscore reset issues

Earlier this morning, reports were coming in that Xbox 360 users’ Gamerscores and Achievements were being reset to 0.

Naturally, gamers were not happy. Microsoft quickly commented on the issue, stating, “The issue that some customers were experiencing with zero Achievements and Gamerscores has now been resolved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. You may need to log off and log back in for the information to be updated.”

Microsoft are yet to comment on what caused the error.

I am having a similar issue but with my xbox awards not showing up at all in the awards section :( Also 2 of my achievements are missing from Gears of Wars (Windows)

I was playing Reach last night...and well after the game it said 2 achievements for 40g unlocked. (I have all of the Reach Achievements but 2 so 67/69.) I checked them, it had unlocked the low rank achievements and the rest were locked. I wasn't reset to 0 g though, it increased my gamerscore. I deleted profile and recovered. No issues since.
