Bio-Ware made it clear that this was the last game focusing on Shepard. What'd the fans think was going to happen he was going to conquer the galaxy get some ice cream and set sail into another sequel?
When In Rome Kill The King.
From what I've read, and in my own opinion, there needs to be real closure on Shepard's story. The ending was full of holes, there's no mention of what happens to almost anyone of your squadmates apart from the few that leave the Normandy after the ending scene, which also made little sense since one of the people leaving the ship was with me on earth right before the ending. There was just way too much left unanswered for the end of a trilogy like ME.
hmm the ending made sense to me they hinted about thru out the whole game in dreams and little codex entries, to me it seem like these people that want things changed would buy a book read and want their money back cause they didn't like the ending, its supposed to be their story not the mob of angry facebookers . . oh well
have you even played the game and compleated it? if you read a book and didn't like the ending of that book because it had so many inconsistancies are you the type of person who would just say "oh well i didn't write it so i have no right to complain about it" your probably not much of a reader either then are you? from your comment you seem like the kind of person that would buy bad games at high prices instead of great games at a lower prices saying it's a collectors item, but at the end of the day we are the ones that are spending our own money to buy these games so we respectively have a right to critique the games we buy.
anyway i would want a new ending (maybe getting a trophy/achievement for getting the ultimate good ending) and obviously it would have to be given away free of charge or at extreamly low price otherwise people will probably complain anyway.
the ultimate bad ending (after which you would have to reload the last save)
sheapard say's i choose the 4th choice, choose to destroy the catalyst/controller of the reapers then fight and end up dying during the fight.
everyone is killed by the reapers just leaving low level species, the cycle continues and the ultimate human reaper created from sheapard and his crews dead bodies.
the ultimate good ending.
shepard says i choose the 4th choice, choose to destroy the catalyst/controller of the reapers fight and win
1.sheapard survives at above a certain amount of war assets + level (eg: difficulty at insanity + level 60 characters + having above 7000 war assets with 100% galactic readiness for war status = 100% certain survival decreasing for bit by bit for how much below you are and higher if your above it).
2.don't have to kill all the synthetics if there on your side eg: EDI and the geth survive (if you got the geth to join you).
3.just the reapers are killed their controlled by the catalyst so destroying that should destroy the reapers.
4.the mass effect relays are left intact so other species can return to their respective home planets.
5.they find someway to return those changed into husk types eg:the turian types the human and cerberus types and the asari types even the rachni types if you saved the queen.
6.the romance intrest shown with sheapard a few years in the future with their kids or something.
7.sheapard remembered as a hero for all time with statue's placed on all the planets/places he saved throughout the series (plot line would be dependent on the save from mass effect 1 being imported into mass effect 2 and then that one imported for mass effect 3)
more fmv fight sequence's going into earth showing all the war assets in action and after earth explaining why the hell joker goes on the run with the normandy when they know whats coming, along with how your crewmates get back onto the normandy if they went on the final mission with you.
how it ends should also depend on what you did throughout the full mass effect series making it change the chance of getting the ultimate ending choice depending on what you did insted of the 3 simple choices of what to do, after all the good endings (synthasis and the destroy synthetics which is a semi good) are basicly the same ending you pretty much die in all the endings and the crew crashland on some unknown planet.
at the end of the day as it was said in csi 3 dimensions of murder's second case "the gaming industry is fickle, an excellent game that has low sales is counted as a flop, whereas a mediocre game that has high sales is counted as a hit" this game just feels like the latter at the moment.
