I was wondering if you recover your gamertag in another console does the payment method goes with it. Like lets say my gamertag gets hack, would they have that information.

The payment info is on the account yes. It cannot be extracted and exploited and it is censored. If someone was to take your account. Yes, they can use it but only on your account.

Yea, you cant retrieve the payment account info from an xbox live account, this gets stored on your windows live account, your gamertag is just linked to this. even if your live account is hacked you still cant retrieve any information from it that could be used to make payment for anything outside of MS

they can use the credit card on file to make purchases of DLC tho, DLC is signed to the console ID not profile ID, so even if you recover your hacked account, they can still use the stolen points used for DLC or games.
