:( cant figure out where i'm going wrong, i used to use this editor on the original DD game so when i heard it worked on DA too i got the updated version of this and its now saying data corrupted or it freezes whenever i try to load a save (using horizon to get file off flashdrive)

Make Sure you Rehash and resign before you plug your USB back into your Xbox, for this is probably the screen that you were talking about:

If you are using Horizon, then you would want to open your Save in the file editor and push this tab as seen being circled in the Screenshot.

a bit off topic but can you use your original DD character with DD Dark Arisen and keep everything from the previous game?

Yes, you can still use your previous character from Dragon's Dogma, in fact it actually is better if you do. You can get extra's like; The Eternal Ferrystone, used for as the name states, infinite number of times that you can use it, as well as a few new Armors and Clothes that you may purchase from The Black Cat.

Huh. I tried rehashing/resigning with another program (Modio 3.0, which is old at this point, yes), and it didn't work. Going to have to give Horizon a shot. Good thing I still have the backup save on my 360, since I just copied the save data.

Yes this is always good create an backup + my Tool doing this to so you have 2 backups ;)
