That would work, but the whole thing seems quite akward. And I would feel very bad if somebody bought me a game so I could figure out the saves, and I couldn't pull it off.
On another note, I'm almost done with my next version. I just need to figure out whether a certain problem is due to some earlier messing around with my save, or if it's the editor.
Please help, I undid my chaos wepoan and I just wanted to add it back but after I did that I get "Failed to load SAVE DATA"! How do I fix this I dont wnat to lose my character! Did I miss a step how do I fix this?
I have the Steam version, but I'm downloading the FLT version just so I can use the editor and make some awesome custom runs.
Will I run into any problems installing both? Is it possible? Is there anything I need to know beforehand?
Thanks.
Ran into a bit of a problem. I added a few items and maxed a few areas of stats (leaving level alone), and now my game won't save. The little flame comes up in the corner letting me know it's auto saving, but every time I exit my game, there's not progress made and the only save I have to choose from is from the same point when I added the armor. It was saving correctly up until the point I added the armor. Any remedies or is this a new issue? TIA.
EDIT: Apparently I fixed it. I just opened the save back up and took a few of the items I wasn't using out of the inventory and rehashed/resigned and it's saved correctly twice since I reloaded. Guess it was just a random bug.

Awesome work, thanks for the editor :D
Jappi, I've been a LONG time user of your DS Editors. Is this one updated for use with the DLC?
-Update-
Read through some of the post, seems a lot of you are having a LOT of trouble with this new editor. Version 3.0.5.1
Here's some tips
-DON'T use Modio. At all. Not the Beta 4 not Modio 3. Modio is known for corrupting saves. Use Horizon. Horizon, unlike Modio CONSTANTLY updates their tool. I need to get Diamond on Horizon myself.
-Always create a back up, and create a double back up. It pays to be prepared, it's the first rule of modding anything. For me, I don't backup anymore since I generally know what I am doing. But don't be stupid like me.
-Always create a test save. This means, if you have your main save, create a double of it and rename it to whatever you want to make sure you know it's different. Then run test on that save and see how far you can push it before it breaks. I do this with a lot of my Dark Soul saves and they turn out the way I need them to.
-Be smart about your modding, if you go buck wild like I do, expect to get a lot of hate mail and people reporting you for mods. I change my gamertag every three weeks, so Microsoft ends up going "Wait a minute? Is it this guy? We can't tell...." I always use about 3 different XBL accounts which are managed and I change them so often. Each of them have a 12 Month Membership. That's how I keep off the radar.
-If you need help with the mod tool's functions, ask Jappi or one of the people who work with the source and you can also ask me as well. I've been around since the first version of the Dark Souls editor (which I still think is better) was released. I was Jappi's guinea pig.
Hm. Does anyone know how to do this with the new editor? I'm still trying to figure this bit out.Adding magic:
This one is a bit iffy, sometimes magic shows up in your inventory but can't be attuned. The best way I've gotten success with it is to replace an existing spell you have with one you want.
