Transformers FoC Difficulty achievements not unlocking question

I first beat the game on easy and I got the Easy difficulty achievement. I replayed the game using the same save and changed the difficulty to Normal but I did not get the Normal difficulty achievement. Is this one of those games where you have to start with a fresh save for each difficulty achievement? If so that is irritating because I already found all hidden items,fully upgraded every weapon and purchased every perk .

I hope not, just finished my play through. Did you change it from the mission select/ chapter screen?

I've seen other people reporting the same problem on various forums over the last few days. One piece of advice from Gamefaqs:

Set the difficulty to hard and go through each chapter and look at the highest completed setting. If it's got the little lights blinking for all difficulties, it's been done on Hard, if not, redo that level.

Since I haven't played the game yet, I'm assuming there's an indicator for normal as well.

Aside from that, if you haven't done a hard playthrough yet, you could always use the "play entire level on easy, switch to hard difficulty at last checkpoint" method to spite the game back and get all the stackable difficulty achievements.

I found the problem, for some reason the game didn't save Chapter IV on Normal to my profile. So I replayed Chapter IV on Normal and the achievement unlocked. I do remember being disconnected from Xbox Live while playing so maybe that had something to do with it.
