Sony mainstays Ratchet and Clank are going on another PS3 adventure this year with Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. The game will be a first for the series as it introduces four player co-op, allowing players to play as Ratchet, Clank, Qwark, and Dr. nefarious and team up to tray and escape from the Creature Collector.

The emphasis on four player co-op isn't the only thing developer Insomniac packed into All 4 One. Just like many of Sony's newer first-party offerings, the game will support stereoscopic 3D. This was confirmed by Sony during an interactive demo at this year's SXSW event in Austin. SCEA president and CEO Jack Tretton also made mention of it in a recent interview with CNBC.

The setup for Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One, as detailed on Insomniac's game page, is thus:

"We find our heroes in the midst of a dilemma of intergalactic proportions when Dr. Nefarious’ latest evil plan goes awry leaving Ratchet, Clank, Qwark and Nefarious himself caught in the snare of a powerful and mysterious machine. Begrudgingly, the Galaxy’s biggest do-gooders and its most sinister criminal must work together to discover a means of escape in this action-packed installment of the Ratchet & Clank series."

The PS3 exclusive is scheduled for landing this fall.
