So I have 2 keys right now. If I just backup my GPD and my entire profile, use both keys offline and get whatever I want out of the chest, save my game, exit out, either replace my GPD that no has 0 keys with the original one that had 2, or just replace my entire old profile back over to my drive, will that work? What happens when you connect back to live? Will I lose my keys?

I just want to get some good stuff now to help me out in missions, and still keep my keys so I can get better items out of the chest after I've achieved max rank.

I don't want to use anyone else's GPD because I don't want my badass rank being affected at all by this.

SPOILER - EASIER METHOD - 100% WORKING

It's easier to just create a new offline profile and replace that gpd with the modded 255 key one, then move your character save on said profile that way you get weapons that match your character level. When you have the desired amount of weapon/shiled/grenades/relics just move your save file back over to your main. This is a safer way since you're not messing with your own gpd and chancing messing it up. Hope this method helps.

And by easier I mean: A little more work but guaranteed results that won't waste your time. Lol.

If this method has already been reported, I am sorry. It's just the one I personally used day one.

that "method" didnt exist when i posted this.
and if you spend your keys offline replace the whole profile not just the gpd. when you start extracting and replacing the gpd itself, it likes to screw up the badass rank

so if you do this, replace the entire profile and you will still have the keys when you go back online. along with any items you take from the chest.
