I wish i could try this but sadly Horizon wont work for me, and its stated by on the Horizon boards that if you get the .exe failed after loading then theres nothing you can do and just have to wait for them to update around end of the month

Is this easier detected on xbox live and is this something I can get banned for if I do it offline and then sign on to live afterwards?

For some reason whenever I open my xbox save it and click contents only the savegame.sav comes up. No .gpd. Anyone feel like helpin'?

You're not opening up the right thing, you open up the game profile not the saved games. Your gpd is saved on your profile.
