Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Garden save checksum help

How do you fix the checksum for the Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Garden save file? I'd like to learn how so I can get the Chao I want through Hex editing and not worry about the game saying it's corrupted whenever I go to Chao World. A tutorial would be nice.

There's no specific tutorial available as all checksum types are different from game to game. You'd need to start off with learning a programming language (C++ preferably) and then know some basic PPC (PowerPC). That can take days, months, years if you do not have motivation to learn. I suggest reading some Ebooks and getting familiar with the functions.

Alternatively, you're more than welcome to wait for someone willing to help you out. I won't be finished me and Lance's editor for a long time yet as it contains all of the Sonic games for X360.

Honestly ur best bet is to wait until renegade is done with his editor, seeing as it will be great. Also im pretty sure no one is going to go behind renegades back and release anything for this, knowing hes working on it. Sorry but looks like you might have to wait for his project man, it will be worth the wait.

I plan to make an editor for SA2 once I can get a fix for the check. Ren and I talked about it a long time ago (when he first asked if I'd be interesting in joining his project). For the AIO Sonic editor, I want to add a few extra features to the Chao portion so as to encourage members to download the AIO package, but I still plan to release the Chao editor as its own thing. The only thing holding me back is a fix for the check.
