How to customize windows 7 theme icons folders and start orb

Hey guys i thought i might make a tutorial on how to customize your desktop now im not very good at these things mainly because my grammar sucks and people can get confused but i will try my best

ok so here is the default windows 7 theme some parts are already customized i left them like that as i didnt really want to change them but i will still show you how to change everything so dont worry



Right so in order to apply third party themes you need to patch your system files the reason you need to do this is because microsoft blocked third party themes so if you want to do this you need to download this multipatcher i have uploaded it myself so dont worry its completely safe

Once downloaded run it as administrator and it should display a button called patch click it after a box should come up like so



It will ask to restart now this is recommended but i would restart after you have done the icons folders and other stuff that way it all gets sorted and you dont need to restart your machine twice but its completely up to you

Now i already have a theme i want so lets go and install it go to C:\Windows\Resources\Themes depending on your theme you might have different files and if you are confused on what to do just give me a shout i will help you out

ok so most themes will have these files copy them into your themes directory



Once done go and change the theme right click and go to personalize choose the theme you just installed and it should be all good



Now time for the folder icons on the desktop im using dark token folder icons but you can get thousands of different ones all you need to do to change them is right click on the folder you want to change go to properties click customize then click change icon and browse where you put the other folder icons and then click apply they should change once you done that

As for the taskbar icons its the same but they wont change until you restart your PC if you want more assistance let me know

Time to change the start orb to do this you need a program and again its been uploaded by me so its safe

Once downloaded you will notice many folders they are all start orbs i have included in the pack must be like 270 different ones to choose from anyway click Windows 7start orb changer.exe click change locate and pick your start orb
