Gibbed's Borderlands 2 Save Editor (Revision 146 - Jan 11, 2013)

There seems to be an issue with skill points sticking. It used to work fine but they don't stick using the latest editor. I tried adding 128 then again 60. When I open the save in the editor it says the points are there but it says 0 in game. I've used gibbed editors forever so I know it's not something I'm doing wrong. Is there a skill point cap now, or does the game run a check using your level vs skill points? Whats weird is the gun leveling works just not the skills.

Any advice is appreciated. I have the season pass and all pass DLC but nothing else.

Edit: So I tried 2 more times, once using my level in skill points, 32, and once 28, the legit number but it still does not take. Does this now need to be done offline or have the skill points been moved to the GPD?

There seems to be a check on the skill points now, but you can bypass this by going to the Raw tab and using the SkillData option to add the points directly to whatever skills you need to. The game doesn't check how many points you use.
