worked out how to use it in the end :/ the explanations of the few editors out there never explained what they meant by "profile" the reason l had issues is that l assumed all save editors are "save editors".

for the benefit of others who have been having issues you need to move your Xbox "Profile" to the usb stick and find the file in there that is noted here that needs to be modded as you wont find what you need within the save file.

HOW TO USE:

1. Open your Gamertag into Horizon and click the "Contents" tab
2. Extract the "415608EC.gpd" file from the Contents menu
3. Open your "415608EC.gpd" file into the Editor
4. Mod what you want and press Save
5. Replace the "415608EC.gpd" file back into your Gamertag file
6. Rehash/Resign
7. PLAY!!!

Can't get any easier to know what file to get........
