The absolutely gorgeous UbiArt-based project Child of Light has been officially confirmed for Wii U. Ubisoft published the above trailer today, showing off the stunning artwork for the fantasy side-scroller, as well as a look at the in-game battles and a great dragon emerging from the depths of a dark cave.
Child of Light is focussed on the female protagonist Aurora and her coming-of-age story, where gameplay is inspired from titles such as Limbo and Final Fantasy VI. The game itself is based on a fairytale Japanese RPG and will have a turn-based combat system. By all accounts, this is one of Ubisoft’s smallest projects, uses the UbiArt Framework which was used in Rayman Legends and Origins, and a third of the developer team was female. Child of Light will be available for purchase on the Wii U eShop in the near future. Let us know what you think of the trailer in the comments below.
