The Xbox 360 version of World of Tanks will finally rumble out of the garage on 12th February, Wargaming West has announced. Quick, rush me a tank metaphor! "Enough panzering around", perhaps?
The game is free to play with Xbox Gold subscriptions, though you can access it for seven days if you don't have a subscription. All the basic tank models and parts are free, but you can pay to unlock Premium Tanks, which offer above-average performance but can't be upgraded, or buy a Premium Account to "boost experience and currency accrual rates".
The basics of play? Well, you're a tank. There are other tanks. Some tanks are your friends. Some tanks aren't. In the event that a tank isn't your friend, feel free to smash it round the turret with high explosives. Actually, you're best off targeting the tracks or the rear - less armour to drill through, see.
There will be 100 tanks from the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom at launch, with more to follow. For more on how the game handles, and how it came to Xbox 360, read my gigantic preview/interview from last year. It's tanktastic. Or not.
