When I try out Hex Editing (or any type of editing), I always Sign and Rehash my saves twice to make sure they take.

Sometimes, it can also be what you've edited recently that can cause the corruption. Use the untouched backup save you (should) have, make your changes, save it as a separate save file (so you don't overwrite your backup copy), and use that new file and see if you still get the corruption message. Hexing, of course, is a simple-but-delicate trial and error.

    I hope this helps. I'd help more, but I haven't Hex-edited FFXIII-3: LR yet.

Thanks. I realized that for some reason it was actually Modio which is what I normally use. When I went to horizon it was fine. Strange but true. Thanks for your help!

I haven't found how to do that but is there a specific reason why? There is the crystal in the ark that you can use after a first play through. So it must be in the code but if you can't find it in the code, depending on why you want to do that you could come up with a work around.

Also you can hold near 65535 (HEX FFFF) Elixir / any other useful recovery item.
You have a possibility to hold a Maximum of 65535 of each Item. If you have already 65535 Elixir and you found another one (+1), that # will be reset to 0.
I suggest to add 65280 (HEX FF00) so it's more than necessary. ;)

    Why bother do that ???
Because it can give you infinite Chronostasis that way!
So you're able to control time with that trick & the Crystal in the Ark :)

Yes, I carry a ton of Elixir and Turbo Ether just to use chronostasis and teleport everywhere. Elixir is great in battles using overclock. But with just these two potions I can control time pretty darn well. Usually I end up sleeping for a bunch of days because of it. Now I'm trying to pace myself a little slower actually because I have too much time and running around extincting species isn't all that exciting to me at this point unless it's final dungeon.

Can I change an ability to a completely different one? I've only been upgrading them. I suspect that changing one might mess up the code and stats though I'm not sure.

I'm trying to find the HEX code for unique ability, like Magic Slash, Darkness, Ashura, Siren Strike, etc.

    I'm sure there's a way :)

    Anyone ?

I'm pretty sure you can, you'll have to go back in this thread, or the editor thread to find the lists though, I remember seeing lists for abilities, but never tried it out since I haven't played for a while.
