Nope. It's your Soul Memory value, not your level. I was talking about Co-op when I posted that LOL.

i have tried it with some friends on the same SM ( short for Souls Memory ) and it works with a red sign and small white sign :) but it didn't work with a normal white sign .

Maybe your friend got summon by other player

Make sure you both are not Hollow and both have the normal White Sign. Also if the person trying to summon has already defeated the Area Boss, you can't summon anyone from the normal White Sign Soapstone.

i'm not a noob man .. i'm one of the best souls players and i'm a youtuber as will :)
i had the game 3 weeks before the release date :)
and it's not a connection problem because i'm an internet provider ..
the testing was me as 838 and another friend in 600 and the summoner in 75
we were only able to summon each other with a small white soapstone .

i'm sorry if i seemed aggressive or offensive , i didn't mean that at all :(
i'm from Iraq so my English isn't my best language ..
i know he tried to help me ..and i'm thankful for that .

just to be clear .. dark souls isn't my life .. it's my favorite game ;)
don't let me start on the stupid mistake that i have seen people do or i did in the game lol

I just thought I should leave some advise for others. If you mod your rank to max stats, it makes the game significantly harder. Mod your rank in game with souls at manjula, put all attributes to 50 if your going for all round build. After modding my save back to level 1 and doing the above weakest ai are two hits rather than 4 with same weapon, and I can also see signs to summon with bosses. Despite what others have said I definitely believe if you wanna be matched with randoms don't increase your level above 500, there is virtually no benefit to it either.
