Timed with the release of Street Fighter V, Sony announced today that it will hold a free multiplayer weekend on PlayStation 4 starting this Friday. On that date, you will be able to play online multiplayer in any PS4 game for free; this normally requires a PlayStation Plus subscription.
The free play weekend starts this Friday, February 19, at 12:01 AM PST, and ends on Sunday, February 21, at 11:59 PM PST.
Sony specifically called out Street Fighter V (a PS4 console exclusive) and Call of Duty: Black Ops III in its announcement today. Black Ops III's Awakening expansion arrived earlier this month on PS4 and will be exclusive to that platform until it's released on Xbox One and PC in March.
