Mass Effect 3 will/won't have multiplayer, part 4: Xbox World cover edition

First it did, and then it didn't, and then it might, and now it seems the plot has thickened once again.

Mass Effect 3's on-again-off-again love affair with multiplayer is decidedly on again, as the cover of Xbox World Issue 108 (above) teases new multiplayer details, indicating that hey, this game has multiplayer. We're hoping this means BioWare has finally listened to our mailing campaign and implemented an Xbox Live/PSN-enabled head-to-head argument mode.

Seriously?!?... if this Game is any shorter or has less to offer then the previous Mass Effect Games by even 1 thing just for the sake of having Multiplayer i'm going to be very, very pissed. If i want a good Third-Person Multiplayer Shooter then i'm gonna stick with Epic Games and their Gears of War games since they have been doing it for years compared to BioWare that is known to make awesome and long lasting Single-Player Games.

as long as the co op isnt necessary for story stuff then i dont care. I know the game is gonna be as long as mass effect 2 they stated it when they were at comic con. so we are looking at another short game. im sure there will also be a finite ending meaning you cant play after the ending. im also sure that any dlc will have to be completed before ending the game.

Yeah, Its been stated that this will definitely be Shepard's last outing. I'm guessing that the game will end with Shephard being a martyr and sacrificing himself (or herself) to defeat the Reapers.


Multiplayer isn't a bad thing to extend the games playability, as long as it doesn't take anything away from the main campaign. I'm really looking forward to this one and how my choices in the first two games are going to affect this one
