Dead Island developer Techland filed for a trademark on something called "Dead World" recently, prompting speculation that work on a sequel for the open world zombie RPG was underway.Techland of course declined to comment on any official news, but the trademark is legit, so we know they're at least working on something.
Dead Island shambled on up the charts when it was released in September, thanks to some nice zombie buzz and that quality trailer (despite a less-than-glowing critical response). A title like "Dead World" hints that the game will take on a slightly larger scale than just an island resort, but of course we'll have to wait and see until the company wants to make any official announcements on another game in the franchise.
