This is a great editor but I am having some problems with it of late. The problems I am having include:
-Adding multiple items to one character and some of the items not appearing in my inventory, in editor.
-Adding an item to a character and then the character is corrupt upon loading.
-Editing the stats of an item on character corrupts said character when loaded.
-When adding an item to a character that already has said item, the added item does not appear in inventory.
I am having problems adding items without getting error messages.
I am on Xbox 360 by the way. Using V2.0.0.8
Will there be a way to see what stats are valid stats for an item in the future or are we just going to have to see what works and what doesn't? The issue with editing the stats of an item is probably me adding an effect that is invalid for that item. Anyways thank you for the editor.

I came across this editor on version 2.0.0.7 and I knew nothing of modding characters. This editor has single handedly blown open the world of gaming like I never knew. Not to exploit other players, but for me it adds a very interesting level of critical thinking. This gives us all the ability to do what we want with our characters. One of the things that really captivated me was the 32 stat gems. But, that can only be done through HEX editing. This editor lays everything out in such a clear and concise manner, it made HEX editing a breeze for me; someone who has never done anything with HEX in his life.
I keep seeing alot of the same questions pop up in regards to equipment missing or becoming unequipped...or the character on your save becomes corrupted and is removed from that save. Some things to keep in mind while you are editing:
If adding new stats, start small. I always editing at max 3 stats at a time before I save/rehash, close and then reopen again. I believe the errors with equipment disappearing has something to do with the actual bits on the save file itself. I could be entirely wrong though. As far as equipment becoming unequipped, thats not necessarily a problem as long as the gear stays with the character.
Also, do 1 item at a time. Don't pile up an entire inventory with the hopes of having an automatically boss toon from the onset. It takes a little time and some patience before it starts clicking together. But once it does, its awesome.
And, if you are adding sockets, just do the three socket one. You can't have more than 3 sockets no matter how you add them up. If you have a 1 socket stat that you forgot about and accidentally add another 3 socket to that same item...when you try to go back into the game, the character will register but when you try to load the character the game will lock. Another game locking instance is socketing gems. The editor will allow you to do it and they even show up in the game, but once you attempt to socket a gem with another gem the game automatically freezes.
But yea, patience is gonna be a key to figuring out how you want to build your character and what you want your character to be in the game.
I'm seeing an issue with modding the stash. If I have multiple instances of an effect and try to delete one instance they all seem to vanish. When I tried to remod the item I got a corrupt save out of it. I've tried it with different items and at different save points/different stash items stored.
1.-Adding multiple items to one character and some of the items not appearing in my inventory, in editor.
-When adding an item to a character that already has said item, the added item does not appear in inventory.
When you add item to your inventory from the database you need to click the save (rehash/resign)at the top before clicking ok at the bottom. This will be sure and save it to your inventory. Also you still click save(rehash/resign)again under file so it saves it back to your USB.
2.-Adding an item to a character and then the character is corrupt upon loading.
-Editing the stats of an item on character corrupts said character when loaded.
These problems are nearly the same. Main thing I know from experience is once you modified an item in game and then saved it you can not remodify it without corruption. Also some items you find can corrupt by removing stats already on the item. But most I found show to only have 6 and that leaves you 26 to add to the item.
Hope this helps..
That's some great advice dark, chaoticdemon. I've found the same thing, work small and don't try and overload. Also, work from a mule-like toon too, that way you won't lose a favourite character. I always make backups of everything I do.
Hello,
i have a xbox360.
I have change at one character the level from 20 to 55.
Now if I select this character on my xbox he's still level 20
I open the savegame again with Diablo 3 SE and it is displayed with level 50.
What I have forgotten or am I doing wrong?
Thank you Dark, Chaotic, and Fen. Great advice from all of you. I didn't know you had to save/rehash after adding an item. I noticed trying to edit an existing item doesn't work. Wasn't trying to make insane gear, was just trying to add a few "legitish" items that I haven't been able to find. But seriously I appreciate the advice, thank you.
