Final Fantasy XIII Versus Ditched?!

ecently Square Enix has been deciding their priorities and it seems that Final Fantasy XIII Versus didn’t make it into that important list...

The Final Fantasy XIII series wasn’t a bad game but the legendary status many hoped it could achieve is a light year away, and in this dark time a ray of light shone through, this ray of light was...Final Fantasy XIII Versus!



Well apparently this ray of light has faded and we must simply wait until Final Fantasy XV. The potential of Final Fantasy XIII Versus looked practically limitless and really showcased Square Enix’s finest but according to an inside source, the game has been dropped!



A staff member from within Square Enix HQ has leaked information about Final Fantasy XIII Versus being ditched. The long anticipated title is set to be replaced by Final Fantasy XV and the development team working on XIII Versus have been shifted from Versus to Final Fantasy XV.



I speak for many Final Fantasy fans when I say, this fucking blows!



However...there is some hope. There is a chance that Final Fantasy XIII Versus has been ditched but not the characters, story and gameplay. It is believed by many already that Final Fantasy XV is just a rebranded name for XIII Versus; this could completely flip this news around and mean even more staff are working on the up and coming title. Let’s hope that this is in fact the case.

honestly, i just lost all respect for square. I remember Square being one of the greatest companies back in the day but they've been just making bad move after bad move. 13 sucked. 13-2 sucked. I believed that 13 versus would've brought them back but i guess i was terribly wrong. i hope square fails utterly in everything they try to do from now on and end up bankrupt. they're best games they wont even make for ps3 like dissidia or tactics. its like they work backwards.

final fantasy versus 13 just cancelled... square enix... there is no amount of words that can describe what im feeling towards you guys right now. in utter nerd rage... i hate you guys... really i do. thanks for making me wait 6 years while you decided to throw versus aside and work on complete crappy games instead. hate you square enix with pure passion right now...

And telling anyone about it! Let us remain hopeful, tell us "to wait patiently," and all to find out they've been dangling a carrot in front of us that we'll never get.

The only thing Square does to anger me is continiously NOT release Kingdom Hearts 3 for PS3. I enjoy the handheld games, don't get me wrong, but give me a console game already. It's been about seven years since Kingdom Hearts 2 came out, and they've released about four or so games for handhelds since then, all the while saying Kingdom Hearts 3 will come out on PS3.

Make with the game already, is all I'm saying.

yeah voidimage09 posted a thread that it was not cancelled, and i agree i wish Kingdoms Hearts 3 would start being made, but doesnt look like it will happen anytime soon XD
