Its the same error I get from hex editing this game I search '000A' and theres one option, I hex it and don't get a corrupt save but nothing changes.
When I search '0057' I find two parts and have tried both but get corrupt. Seems no matter what I try it won't work.

hmm maybe you can't mod sonic the hedgehog 3 then well that sucks oh well maybe someone out there will figure out how to mod it
