is there a way to unlock the DLC from forza 4? say if i had my friends gamertag and copied the download from it and rehashed it to mine? im not really experianced in that sort of modding.

DLC is encrypted and there's currently no way to decrypt it yet. That's why it can't just be rehashed and resigned like game saves. But there's a workaround which involves license transfer but it's a hassle and you could risk getting yourself and your friend banned and can only be done a few times a year. You could try looking for "preloaded accounts" on Ebay (not totally illegal). They're easier to manage and just as risky. Another way is to get a JTAG console which allows access to any DLC no matter the ownership. The only downside is it's strictly an offline console. If connected online, it would get banned within hours if not mins.

You cannot Rehash/Resign a LIVE file. This just takes me back to the early days of CON Resigners now...you know? the nubs?

There used to be a SPG (Second Profile Glitch) that would allow you to download and use the DLC by signing into a false profile that has glitched the license for the content on it. However that was patched with the most recent Dashboard Update/s.

As "ldsdrive" said though, you can license transfer with a friend and you will have the DLC on your box to use. Though that requires you to recover his profile on your xbox and follow the necessary steps to finish up. But if i remember correctly (may have been updated now) once you license transfer, the original Author cannot use the DLC without having to sign into XBOX LIVE.

But yes, again if you invest in a JTAG console or RGH Console then you can unlock the licenses to be profile free and use on your box. Offline of course.
