Borderlands: Pre-sequel "is it worth getting?"

I still haven't bought this game, despite being a huge BL fan.. mainly cause of all the mixed opinions i've read about it, even those who like it say its nowhere near as deep a game as BL2, in fact some have said its fairly short and *just makes you wish you were playing the 2nd game* not sure how true any of this is as i haven't played it yet but seeing as the game is still in the 50$ range i thought i'd ask, to anyone who has it, is it worth buying or should i just stick with BL2 till a next gen sequel comes out?

yeah.. see, its still $49.99 new in my area and there aren't any used copies at gamestop yet, i've checked.. and i just can't justify dropping 50 bucks on it if any of the rumors i've read about it being really mediocre compared to the 2nd game are true, and it doesn't help that it got almost 0 hype unlike the previous and i didn't see any commercial for the game, there has to be a reason for that and the reason can't be good.. lol
