Remember all those Star Wars action figures you collected as a kid?
This is what they grew up into.
Meet Darth Malgus, Sith Lord, lightsaber master, and all-round bad egg. He stands a towering seven feet, four inches tall, weighs almost 160 pounds…and can be yours for just six grand.
Although he might not be recognizable to fans of the mainstream Star Wars movies, he'll be a familiar sight to the 1.7 million players of EA's 2011 online role-playing game, Star Wars: The Old Republic, where he's a central story character. Responsible for killing Jedi Master Ven Zallow during the sack of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, he's an object of either fear and awe or admiration and awe, depending on your light-side vs. dark-side preference.
The replica, created by Sideshow Collectibles, includes a light-up lightsaber, LED lights in the chest, collar and wrist gauntlets, and a fabric hood. The power of the dark side? That costs extra.
So if you need a centerpiece for your Sith temple, have an enormous quantity of papers you need weighted, or are just looking for a good way to keep the cats living in abject terror, start saving your pennies. Malgus ships out in July.
