You don't have to stick to the road
A gameplay video for Playground Games' Forza Horizon 2 has arrived, which luxuriates in the scale of the new open world. Do you enjoy never quite reaching the horizon? This game is probably for you.

The video comes direct from E3, and sees Forza community manager Brian Ekberg take the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for a spin, in a simple point-to-point race across Horizon 2's beautiful recreation of southern Europe.

He emphasises that the driver "is not tied to the road", and that "players can find their own path to victory." The rain mechanic, a first for a Forza title, is also displayed in all its glory.

Forza Horizon 2 was revealed last week and is being developed for Xbox One by Playground Games, the team behind the original Horizon title. An Xbox 360 version is in production with Sumo Digital at the helm.

It was revealed during the Microsoft E3 press conference that Forza Horizon 2 will release on 30th September for both consoles.
