I'm uploading this save so that you guys can take a look at it in hopes of achieving hex editing and eventually a save editor.
My stats -
The Campaign is just after the opening mission.

From what I can see no checksum on it.
Good news then!
Hopefully it won't take that long to compile an editor on account of there being one for the demo already.

here is my save, i just got to the 1st boss i believe.. annoying asian guy that moves too much and has the traking rifle.
hope it helps with a editor.
i have 2 upgrades available i have not touch and im still in what i believe the 1st mission.

im at 1st mission, no upgrades and have 2 available to use. that help more?

looks like red hulk jumped the gun lol, but yeah good job listing your stats :), should help the developer who decides to take on this game, i tried the demo and was mildly impressed lol, i might get it when it comes out.

There is the same CRC-32 checksum on the "_profile" file that was on the DEMO. The checksum is located at 0x0 and it calculates everything but the first 4 bytes.
Also the "Checkpoint" file has the same kind of checksum.

Ehhmm..i think you should make a tool for this game..you already made one for the demo...so with few adjustments , it should work with full game.

Countryboy tested a save I modded for him, the max ammo you can have is 32767 (FF7F). Clip ammo doesn't change (tried 999 and 255, nothing worked).

Yep, he tested it and upon reloading his clip the value decreased by normal values, meaning that it doesn't reset back to the in-game max :P

Idlehands, I understand how to calculate the checksum after I change values. I know to extract "Profile" & "Checkpoint" from DEFAULT. My issue is that I can't find any values (ammo, upgrade points, etc) in Hex. I have 2 available upgrade points...I have 18 ammo in chamber, 108 available. For Example (ammo) for 108 should I search for 006C? Thanks in advance for your help.

NEVER mind i found it... it was in the Package Manager of Horizon. NOW to try this!
