A North America-only deal has been announced for those who pre-order Assassin's Creed III. If you pre-order it from Best Buy, Amazon, GameStop, or Future Shop and plunk down at least $5, you get a steelbook for the game right then and there to take with you. Of course, there won't be anything to go in the steelbook until the game releases on October 30th, but if you were planning on pre-ordering it anyway you can't go wrong for a measly five bucks.
The promotion starts March 10th.
Another thing worth noting is that it has been announced that AC3 will be available on the Wii U.
