Saw this on his twitter. Early builds of his Mass Effect 3 editor. People got his working for Mass Effect 2 on the 360 and it is amazing so thought I'd share so the work can begin

**Just noticed it already supports 360 saves. Doesn't do a whole lot yet, but definitely helpful to be able to follow along. **
To Create One Shot Kill Weapon With Infinite Ammo and No Weight:
Using the editor:
1.) Go to Raw >> Plot >> Player Variables
2.) Open the Collection editor
3.) Locate the weapon you wish to change
4.) Change the weapon value to 999999.
This basically creates a level 999999 weapon that will just keep picking up ammo and be VERY powerful.

Can't wait for this to come out, I lost all my ME2 finished saves when I lent the wrong flash drive to someone and it got reformatted... With his editor for ME2 I can only edit the ME1 choices which does help a bit, but hopefully I can get back my choices without having to play all the way through ME2 again.

Looks like you can edit things like talent points, and character based stuff already which is great. As well as resources!

OK, maybe I just don't know what I'm doing. I downloaded the most recent one, but it only gives me the option of opening pc saves. I switch to all files and try to open my 360 save but it gives me an error each time. What am I doing wrong?

Every time I try to open a xbox360 save (extracted of course), it gives an error and says : "somehow I doubt there is a >1MB string to be read". Possibly because of the Big Endian byte order? I can't wait for this editor none the less, his Mass Effect 2 editor was awesome.

Hi i can not seem to get the SE working every time i edit my save R&R it then put it back on my 360 it just freeze at the start. Is there any point in the game i have to get past for the editor to work ???

Nothing goes wrong for me. Just that it switches gender of my character I try to change it back but it stays the same. Can someone help me?

I get the freezing problem too. I'll edit something and my console freezes as the game starts when it's "checking save data..." So yeah, that's an issue. I'm going to keep fiddling about with it to see if I can get it to function. I'm looking forward to being able to mod my war assets if only because I want to see all the endings. On another note, I'm wondering if the same trick still applies for adding another bonus power as worked in the ME2 editor.

All I did was change grenades to 50,and when I loaded my game,me and my team had no weapons,and could not access menus.

On a wholly unrelated note, I think the Systems Alliance of ME3 has gone full retard and forgotten their old school engineering in favor of fancy mass effect technology.
Remember that a Thanix cannon (superheated plasma beams fired at high speed) could defeat the Collectors with relative ease. Just build a ton of them the low-tech way. Casaba howitzers! A thin plate of low z material like Lithium oughta do it, detonate a nuke and beryllium channel behind it and the plate turns into a VERY tight beam/jet of nuclear plasma death. Stick an antimatter catalyzed teraton range fusion warhead behind it and you have a one-off Reaper-killing weapon.
Maybe it's the nuclear engineer in me, but I'm sorely disappointed with the Systems Alliance's weapons of mass destruction.

No it's probably because his editor doesn't fix the checksum or it doesnt edit your save correctly... There's these decryptors and idk what they're there for so well see, he might have a new version today since there's a new one everyday

Back to my rant: I'm surprised the Alliance didn't take heed when Shepherd learned about the Reapers giving the galaxy mass effect tech so their technology would always evolve along predictable lines. We have lots of theory for some REALLY nasty weaponry and other gadgetry that would be useful against an enemy that wasn't expecting it. Also, we could adapt mass effect technology to just throw semi-coherent beams of neutrons at the enemy. It's difficult to shield against neutrons without lots of hydrogen between you and the source of radiation and the transmutation, collision cascades, dislocations, neutron swelling, brittleness, etc. would just make for such an awesome weapon.
Bioware should have hired me to write their Deux Ex Machina instead of whatever hack wrote ME3. Also, they should hire me as a technical adviser.

yeah well if you want mods like that it might have to wait or you could always try and contact him somehow :P but if you want those major mods you might need to mod a ME2 save then use it on ME3

In what sense do you mean mod ME2 save and use it in ME3?
I'm using a modded ME2 save as my import for ME3. It worked but the extra bonus power didn't carry over. Shame, that.
The modifications I listed weren't all that major in the ME2 editor, they were easily accomplished. I'm sure gibbed will fix it eventually. Until then, I anxiously await tips, tricks, success reports, etc. from the people in this thread.

Thats Amazing! I used that Editor for ME2 and its was a blast. Unfortunately I cant get that save working with the latest ME3 tool by Red Hulk and Crew. Not sure what the bug is but it just keeps telling me I am not far enough in the game and it cant read the data. The tool is amazing I am going to try a brand new game and see how that fares. Thanks for the Info!

Still trying to use it but to no avail. The values reset to normal. Checksum fixer tried and not tried, nothing. I'm sure it'll eventually work out but I refuse to sign up for twitter. I'll be too tempted to use Twitter and the world isn't ready for my thoughts.
If only Mass Effect were more like Star Trek, where the engineers are the heroes who save the day through ingenuity and technology. Seriously, Star Trek is self image promoting mental mastubatory material for engineers... when we aren't raging about the bad science/engineering.

I've tried so many times to get that to work in ME2 and it always loaded with a corrupted save.
I've also tried this once with ME3 with the same outcome. I don't know what's going on. I JUST WANT THE EYES! *sigh*

Well, I tried using the new version (today's) with no success. Changing weapons mods and trying to add a power (the latter of which was perfectly possible in the ME2 editor) simply didn't work. Even editing talent points didn't stick.
It's an improvement though, considering the game doesn't freeze at "checking save data..."
Is there some key process I'm missing here?
I'm opening the player folder with Modio in the "resigner"
then extracting the save to edit
I edit the save
save that file with the ME3 editor
then I delete the file in the player folder
then inject this newly edited file into it
Rehash/resign
That should be it, right?

I've made several attempts myself to no avail. The actual values seem to reset during gameplay. I attempted to give myself a 1000 rounds of ammo, 1000 medigels, and 500 grenades, and the values revert back to what they should be, no way of making the values stick. Anyone have luck with this?

Ok so it's just the editor that's still not working the way I want it to. It's giving me a corrupted save error now when I load my save. Thank god for backups.

Just so people know, if there are a bunch of areas grayed out that say collection, Gibbed noted on twitter to make sure that you have the full .NET 4 installed, not just the client profile.

Love the editor. Just a pity the game doesn't seem to save the modded ammo like it did in ME2 so you have to mod it every mission. Oh well, it's not like it's hard to do. :P And weird how the game doesn't care about the talent points on your squadmates but oh boy if you mod yours so you can get every talent maxed. ^_^

Happen to me too!!
The only way to play though is to make sure your upgrade points are like at 9999 bc you will have to go to squad in the pause menu and manually re-do all your powers . . . every time the game loads!!! GRRRRR I know its painful. I'm at LV 60 half-way through the game.
What I do is, auto-level up all the time haha not the best choice but it will get the job done.

You do need to extract your Save_00xx.xbsav or AutoSave.xbsav using Modio. It can't open the whole save package. Make sure you are using the latest editor, he is making constant updates. Then do any edits you need to, add the file back into the package, rehash and resign and you should be good.

i have to say i have just finished the game i have seen all endings and it was the worse ending in the history of gaming i hate what BioWare & Electronic Arts have don to mass effect 3 BioWare has ruined the game for me the normandy is so awkward to get any where on the ship all the endings and they were all basically the same i hated the ending because what you did the entire game doesn't affect the ending, the whole military strength concept ended up being pointless and the aftermath there was no closure

this is why i pirate when they bring crap like this game out BioWare & Electronic Arts should be ashamed of themselves

the maker are supposedly creating a dlc to give you some kind of better ending (just a rumor as far as i know but would be nice).

Well, at least you didn't lose 30 hours worth of game play like I did. Any one found a fix for Bioware giving the warning that your saves are corrupted? I can play the game fine, probably finish the game (if I never died) but I cannot create a new save for the character. It's driving me nuts. I'm not starting over, I'd rather burn it. I'm not why Bioware treats xbox users like second class citizens. I have a PC, but I chose to get it for the xbox because I have carpal tunnel and I need to use a controller.
If anyone knows of a fix...anything please let me know!

yeah i did try the checksum fixer and to no avail lol its not that big of a deal just wanted to screw around make my weapons stronger and such so i dont have to stay in cover for insanity or what ever the difficulty is called

back up your saves and then do the option to delete the corrupted ones and usually nothing changes but i was able to create new saves and delete the old ones and if you end up needin a save thats to where you shut down the heretics hit me up ill send you mine

No.
There are only three endings.
One has a red explosion, one has a blue and the last one has a green one.
The differences based on how many war assets you have is very, very, very, very little.
Not saying the game is bad, it's fantastic, but the ending is poop and makes no sense.

When it comes up with the corrupted save message just click no and load the game like normal. It will play just fine. You may get an instance once in a while where the load screen for a mission just keeps going and going. If so just back out to the dashboard and restart the mission again.

They is 16 different ending, with 3 major Choice.
If the Collector Base was saved
In Mass Effect 2 you're given a choice at the end of the game to destroy or keep the Collector's Base intact. The following endings are possible only if the base was NOT destroyed. Note: If you did not import a Mass Effect 2 save it is assumed that you destroyed the Collector Base.
With a Effective Military Strength that's under 1,750 points
you can choose to destroy the Reapers, or control the Reapers, but regardless of your choice Earth is still destroyed.
If your Effective Military Strength is at 1,750
you can choose to destroy the reapers, but Earth is still destroyed.
If your Effective Military Strength is at 2,050
you can choose to control the Reapers, and Earth is saved.
If your Effective Military Strength is at 2,350
you can choose to destroy the Reapers and save Earth, but Earth is devastated.
If your Effective Military Strength is at 2,650
you can destroy the Reapers and save Earth.
If your Effective Military Strength is at 2,800
you can choose the synergy ending for synthetics and organics saving the planet Earth, and the entire Galaxy.
If your Effective Military Strength is at 4,000

They was a rumour that they was a 17th end when you finish the game when importing a save from ME3, but it was unconfirmed. They are no 17th end.

Anyway, I had a question regarding the GAWAsset in the editor. How does it work? Or does it even? I'm not sure if changing the values is affecting anything, at least, I can't tell.

Bioware has gone well out of their way for some reason to try and make sure no one is tinkering this time. However, on a side note, I was able to recover my save....finally. Minus the modded save of course.

I dont get why you guys are having problems all i did was use modio extract my quick save loaded my quick save up in the editor modded my stuff even did the illusive mans eyes " Which are really cool BTW" then injected my quicksave back into the Con file using modio then rehash it and just for a just in case shits and giggles i used xbox 360 hash calculator put it back on my usb drive and it loaded up just fine for me.

Hmm that's because you modding the wrong sections .. You can mod weapons, money, war assets, medial and grenades .. That's what I modded so far .. Under plot/variables you can mod the weapons .. And the war assets all the way at the bottom where it says player

Hey I just wanted to let you all know, I successfully modded and xbox save file using the editor. Because of Bioware trying to make it extremely difficult this time around I had to do things a little differently. Here's what I did to get it to work...
1.) Put the xnox save profile you want to edit onto the USB stick
2.) Transfer the save to the PC
3.) Take the unmodded save profile and move it back to the xbox hard drive off the USB
4. Now mod the xbox file you saved to the PC and copy it back to the USB after rehashing, signing etc.
5.) Load your game from the USB stick. You'll get the corrupted save file message, but load it anyway.
6.) I then played for a few minutes from my modded character, then popped out the USB stick while the game was still running.
7.) Instead of getting the warning that I needed to re-insert the USB stick to continue the xbox defaulted back to the unmodded profile I had saved for the character on the xbox hard drive.
8.) I then made a new save and it allowed me to. I went to the load screen and verified a new save had actually been created. I didn't re-insert the USB stick. I just deleted the modded profile off of it to avoid any future conflict.
9.) Now I'm able to move forwarded with stats modded and no corrupted save errors.
Dunno, maybe this will help someone.

Really? Modded my Mass Effect 3 with no problem. I used the exact same method that was used for ME2.

Really? Hmmmm, wonder why some of us have run into so many issues. I'll have to look into this further. I modded ME2 quite a bit and never had an issue. Are you using the Gibbed Editor or some other variant? I even referred to the link you posted before I even got started to refresh my memory since it had been a little while. I had bookmarked it over a year ago and referred to it often.
@ FatalX7 - What abilities, powers, or characteristics were you able to successfully mod for xbox? Which editor are you using? For some reason whenever I try to use Gibbed's I get an STFS error when I try to re-inject the save. Haven't figured out why yet. Modio kept giving me issues so I had switched to Horizon.

All you can mod at the moment is the weapon. And weapon lvl increases its dmg, ammo cap, and lowers it weight. Sorta of a package deal. Might be able to lower the weight by itself some other way but I don't know how you would.

How much does it mod the damage? If it just increases it to the level of the gun, for instance from level 5 to level 10, that's fine. But I don't want one shot kill weapons.

Never mind I found it. Anyone had any luck yet with swapping powers? I was going to put the overload and incinerate abilities on my Vanguard so I can do all the achievements on one play-through but once I mod them they wont stick. Also when I modded my ability points they revert back as well. Anyone know a fix for this?

look for Plot > player variable > at the end you will see a button [...]
Click that then find your weapon and mod the value from 1 to whatever lvl you want for your weapon :D
BTW, anyone know what is "weapon's name".flag in player variable for?

You can upgrade weapons in game up to 5 levels.
If you legit upgrade, say...the Katana shotgun, to level 5, when you go to mod it's values, the value will be 5. If you change the 5 to 10, that's an additional 5 upgrades, which includes the damage and weight. (And ammo, it seems, I didn't notice if legit upgrades gave me more ammo)
Set it to 100, that's 100 upgrades..
It'd be nice if you could just mod each separate variable...maybe in an updated version of Gibbed.

For anybody that's curious, Gibbed's editor can be used to add the dlc weapons since they're already on the disk. I've given my character the Indra sniper rifle, which is supposedly only available to pc players. I'll test it out and see if it's also possible to get all of the N7 preorder weapons.

if you max out the level to 60, then put upgrade points at 0, you will have enough to max out every skill except one, which will have three slots available and you don't have to screw with it every time. you can max out squadmates though by putting their points at 105 and it'll never change

It's that simple? In ME2, some the guns were given weird names in the game files.

I think the value is the level it has been upgraded to.

To anyone who wants weightless weapons but dont want to have uber one shot weapons just put their levels to like 20 or 25 and they should be weightless and the damage doesnt really go up that much. I have all my weapons at 25 or 30 and they are all weightless for me.

You can upgrade your weapons as high as you want with the editor. Legit, in game upgrades only go to level 5, I believe. This affects your weapon weight, as well as damage and ammo count. So far, there is no way to change each separate variable.
I haven't seen anything in the editor that pertains to armor, so I don't know.
No super weapons that I am aware of, maybe someone else knows.

Idle's ultimate save has them in the save. Open it up with the editor and copy/paste them into yours. Just remember to include the .flags perimeter as well.

Probably. It might be your overall reputation that's keeping you from getting those options, though.

here are all the weapon id's and weapon mod id's all you do is go to Raw-plot-player varibles-collection editor and then hit the button that says add then copy paste the entire line under name and then change the value to 1-9999999 that is the highest it can go without corrupting the save for both gun and gun mod. plus all your guns will be 1 hit kill maybe not like idlehands save but it will kill in 1 hit .

First of all, I want to "THANK!" all of you that have taken their own time to respond to my queries as well as others. It's bee a huge assistance!!
1) I have another question, using the ME2 editor we were able to add weapons to our squad members that they otherwise wouldn't have been "allowed" to use. Can we still do that using the ME3 editor? I haven't tried only because they seem to have added some sort of detection for modded save files and I don't want to accidentally recent stats etc. (of course I could be wrong about this). (Update-I gave Liara the Claymore in place of her submachine gun and it works fine. I haven't finished the mission yet so I don't know if it will reset.)
In the same vein can we add heavy weapons to say a pistol slot we don't plan on really using? I'd love it if my Adept could use the Hydra or Javelin Launchers etc.

You will need to mod the coalesced.ini file which can't be done on Xbox 360 without hardware mod's as far as I know. For PC, you can easily access coalesced.ini file and change ammo amount and clip size, improve firing rate, get 0 secs cooldown, etc. With With current Gibbed ME3 save editor go to Player, powers, collection and I believe you can change rank and level of power.

Huum I got the same exact ending wit 50% and 100% galactic readiness .. I had a save b4 the last mission and tried that and no changes at all .. And bioware/ea said online doesn't have nothing to do with offline .. So gr shouldn't count .. Guess your lucky

GR at 50% means that for your total military strength, you receive credit for half of them, (if total war assets is 4,000, effective war assets is 2,000), while if it's at 100%, you would get all 4,000.
The "good" ending can happen at 5,000+ war assets, which is attainable regardless if you've played online. Simply edit your War Assets to something ridiculous with this editor and you will be fine.

You need to open the save on horizon or any other program of your preference go to content and extract one of the saves you find there .. Then it'll work wit the editor .. After modding inject/replace that save again in the content tab .. Rehash/resign and your good to go

When i go to the weapon mods collection I see my 2 weapons listed on the left and on the right i see Mod Class name and Weapon Class name. Weapon class name lists the ID of the sniper rifle and Mode Class name has the ... to see more. Clicking that lists the 2 mods I have in the weapon in a text box like this.

I don't know if it actually works, but click Player, underneath of 3. Squad.
Just scroll down until you find Powers, click it, click the ... at the end and you can edit the upgrade path. I haven't messed with it myself, though, so like I said, no idea if it works.

Oh, does anyone know of a way to keep your armor on all the time? Setting UseCasualAppearance to False just resets when you change areas.
It'd be nice if there was an option in game...you can't really check out your armor outside of the Armor Lockers.

I've been trying to get the Quarian/Geth peace option, and it's not happening. I just never seem to get the paragon or renegade option.
I've set the save so that I destroyed the Heretics, Tali is an admiral, I saved the admiral, and destroyed the geth squadron, which should give me 6 peace points?
In the editor, my rep is showing at something like 500 points. My Paragon and Renegade scores are showing at something wierd, like -222000 or something (and Shep has a small scar on the side of his chin). If that's what's tripping me up, what should I use for settings of those values.

Try getting rid of the negative sign on the paragon/renegade values. Those should be positive values.

it should be something like: change a power you don't want in your squad - player - powers collection to SFXGameContent.SFXPowerCustomAction_DarkChannel make sure current rank is set to 6 then change the evolved choices 1 2 and 3 (you may be able to set the first 2 to 1 the second 2 to 2 and the third 2 to 3 to give you all the abilities for it, i'm not sure though) you have 6 evolution choices and then set name to DarkChannel and as long as you don't go into the power upgrade menu it should stick i think.
me i'm looking for the sentry turret you get in multiplayer with the quarian engineer just cant find the power with any character.
i think overload with sentry turret combined with dark channel and singularity combined with stasis and carnage and (maybe) incinerate would make the ultimate power mix.

In order to bring peace between the geth and the quarians, you must:
Keep Tallli alive in Mass Effect 2.
Kill the heretics in Legions loyalty mission in Mass Effect 2.
Keep Legion alive in Mass Effect 2.

If all these are true, you get points for the following:
Save Tali from exile in Mass Effect 2 = 2pts
Destroy Heretic Geth Station in Mass Effect 2 = 2pts
Broker peace between Tali and Legion in Mass Effect 2 = 1pt
Save Admiral Koris in Mission "Rannoch: Admiral Koris" (You have to chose him to save, not his crew) = 1pts
Complete mission "Rannoch: Admiral Koris" = 1pt
Need 5/7pts to get them both along with 4 bars of Reputation.

ok so i load my save and edit what is needed in the raw tab click save the when i inject it back into the save rehash and resign when i put it in to play i load the right save but nothing is changed can someone please help me i cant get this thing working any help is appreciated

Does anyone have a list of accessories? Like the beret etc. I know they didn't work very well with ME2, but I'm hoping they will work better on this game. Also for powers, has anyone successfully added any class specific powers? I know that only bonus powers worked for ME2 though.

I've been playing around with the editor for a few days now and found some things
Setting the players casual clothing to some other numbers brings some other alternatives not usually selectable in the Armor Locker
6 - Tracksuit (Part of the collectors edition bonus, but can be used without dlc codes etc)
8 - Injured
7 - Underwear
5 - Clothes worn during first reaper attack on earth
2 - Casual Scientist outfit from ME2
These can be added to the Armor Locker too, if you change correct bool values to true
22590 - enables the tracksuit
21752 - enables the other 4 casual outfits
Next i'm going to start looking at the armor peices/sets, but dont thikn there are any hidden peices/suits

Hello everyone, I am very new to modding so please bear with me. I am using the latest Gibbed editor, I have .NET 4 full and Modio for my Resigner. I can edit my parameters in Gibbed and inject the file into the root of my game saves using Modio but, when I reopen my save and check my changes nothing "sticks". I have read all the posts here and y'all have been extremely helpful but I can't find any info to help with this.

I do not believe options like this are available in the current editor. Keep an eye out for updates.
My own question: Does anyone know if you can change your class? Changing SFXGame.SFXPawn_PlayerVanguardNonCombat to SFXGame.SFXPawn_PlayerSoldierNonCombat, for example.

Aha! It does work.
Soldier has Incendiary and Cryo like Vanguard, so the points I put into them are still in place.

If the weapon weight affects the power cooldown, perhaps you can mod the weight to reduce the cooldown in that way?

Ok, Problem. I was finally able to mod my save, but after every mission my talent points reset and i have to upgrade them again. It wouldn't be a problem I could just auto level-up, but every time that happens i loose like 20 talent points at a time. also the medigels reset back to 8. Do I have to run the save through another program?

No, these are the research bonuses you get in Liara's room. The war assets are in their own list.
Are the intel things under Bool Variables or are they somewhere else?

Found a way to mod weight for weapons. Go to Raw>Player>WeaponMods>ModClassName and add the SMG mod for weight reduction to the list of mods for your weapon (SFXGameContent.SFXWeaponMod_SMGStability) This greatly decreases your weapons weight without effecting other attributes. Also you can add all the other weapon mods to the same weapon if you so desired
I.E. for a sniper rifle you could add all the sniper modifications

This adds all the sniper modifications AND reduces the weapons weight. Beware though that changing the mods in game will reset the modifications to two.

This basically creates a level 999999 weapon that will just keep picking up ammo and be VERY powerful.
Found a possible bug with making super weapons on my second play through.
I modded the following weapons to be level 999999:
Hornet SMG
Black Widow Sniper
Vindicator AR
Claymore Shotgun
On the mission to free the Krogan Female from the lab, the first checkpoint is broken. If I remember correctly, the Cerberus forces use the hornet smg's. Why is this a problem? The 2 cerberus troops in the lander that begin shooting at the female have the same level weapons you do. (Why would that matter?) It did not even give me a moment to fire back before the shield was down and she was killed (The shield was at full strength before the cut scene). I still have to test this out by modding the Hornet back to level 10 or something, but that is the only explanation I can come to. I am not sure if this happens anywhere else in the game yet, but I will keep updating everyone with any new info I find.

Rhipgoti - On the intro to this WIP for ME3, I believe it is RedHulk who notes changing the Weapon Value to 9999 makes it a one shot, one kill weapon. However, I don't recall it being mentioned that certain enemies level with you...interesting.

If the DLC Weapons are already on the disc. Does anyone have the list of armor codes for the DLC armor unlocks. Someone posted on the previous page all of the standard armor ID's.
