OverLord II Save Editor 2011

[Sephiroth]

It took me 4 hours to figure this out http://www.360haven.com/forums/images/icons/NewfunnyIcons/Faint.png lol.

The easy part was finding the money,max horde size,crystals values but the hard part was finding the hexvalues that didnt changed and yet moved at the same time with the money value.
I used search for hexstring function to make this tool possible lol.

I've tested the tool ( i think ) 48 times with 9 different save files in Hexworkshop and 1 time in the game lol.

*Tutorial*
Step 1. Click the open button and select your overlord.sav or your extracted OSG file.
step 2. wait till the tool finish with scanning/reading your save.
step 3. edit whatever you want.
step 4. click on save button when you are done.
step 5. rehash your save file with modio,concept,con manager etc.etc.
step 6. have fun.

Excellent! Any chance of an editor for the first game? I got about 2/3's through the game before I lost my save, and haven't had the desire to start over. An editor would give me that desire.

Did you put the modded save on your hdd or mu?

game locks up if you mess w/ the minion count. you can however edit the other stuff.

Everytime I try to use the tool, Nothing changes. I change the values, rehash and resign in Con. And put it back in using xport360.

Also it thinks my black and pink crystals are 1209832103. When the black is 19 and pink is 30

You can't find, it's because the offsets are dynamic and the values aren't easy to find.

Play 30 more minutes, save, start the tool and try again.

Max = 9999 i think.. i dont know anymore lol.

Yeh, each save is different and the offsets are all dynamic so if it does not work the first time, just keep trying until it works :p

I am experiencing something similar. I wonder if there was an update to the save format that the tool doesn't work with. Cant even use the Save button in it when the save is loaded, also if I try and load the .sav file instead of the .osg it fails in parsing the save and the program crashes.

life force/ minons cant be edit at all every time u do it will change in game , but when u go to pick more = game frezze, money, crystal, can be edit no problem, horde size too. booo :(

the HORDE SIZE is allways beside the MONEY if the save line up right. Crystals are same EX: R-2-b-2= in search= (R) 00/00/00/02 (B) 00/00/00/02 other would be like (r) 00/00/00/02 then (B) 00/00/00/05. make it , then u know that its the right ones. (dont edit mionins unless u want to dmg ur game!) A.F or B.F = quest/count* if ur going to edit quest! (catalysts- uprgrade points for spells are not on main page need to go to where u change ur flag and stuff.( right before the red crystal !)

It's pointless because the offsets are dynamic!

Each save has different value's and dynamic offsets

search for hex value: 06000000020000 + &H7 = max horde size(1)
search for hex value: 06000000020000 - &H9 = treasury/gold (1)
search for hex value: 000102020202 - &H4 = treasury/gold (2)
search for hex value: 000102020202 - &H6 = max horde size (2)
search for hex value: 680000000F0800000000000744656661756C74 - &H1F7 = light crystal.
search for hex value: 680000000F0800000000000744656661756C74 - &H1FB = dark crystal.

It wss likely deleted by TinyPic due to having no direct views for a period of 90 days. They'll routinely do that, sometimes even sooner, if you don't associate the image with an account.

I think the editor works mostly. First give it time to open the file. I thought it had frozen as it seemed to take forever. Once open you can mod your values. I have managed to mod my max horde and money without issue. The crystals are another story. Has anyone been able to mod crystals and gotten them to stick? I am fairly early on in the game with very few red crystals and NO dark crystals. I cant figure out how to make either change. Help Please!!

Are the issues with this editor ever going to be fixed? I've been trying to use it and none of the changes I make stick. I can't save .osg editing, and the changes I make in the .sav file aren't applied when I open the game. It scans my money correctly, but that's just about it.

I looked through the posts, and I'm still confused. Sephiroth said something about hex values on page 9 and I'm just as confused as ever. The editor doesn't seem to be functioning properly (explained in the post because of dynamic offsets). So now my question is; if I'm looking to mod this game via the editor, a hex editor, or a combination of both, what in the world am I doing?

ok if that the case then u need to get lots of something = money-gems- etc then open the save in hex editor look for the values and being with trail and error .

moding - the units dont work- and when u put them in the forge for some items game frezze too

health / mana can be moded

any proof of this ? have you gone back and tested it on un patched save ?? because most of the editors on here were made before the games were patched

Well I have been playing the game for a while now, and using the editor gradually damaged the save. It started just saying "failed to save game. Try again?" and when I did try again, it worked with no issue. However after several hours of progress, the save was damaged. I did make a backup before I tried to use the editor, but that was a while ago. I have now lost hours of progress made since then. This is a warning to everyone using this editor! It can eventually destroy the save after hours of progress.

Oh, and I did follow his instructions with many attempts. It still never worked. I did not lie.
