CCleaner is a program specifically used to delete unwanted trash or cache files in your computer. It frees up memory and somehow speed up your computer.

For Windows user only

I love(d) ccleaner. But, since last update it hangs up between 39 to 50%. I force close and rerun and it works sometimes. Hit or miss, looking for another option.

Honestly, I've found that CCleaner has deleted some important keys in my registry before.. Be careful deleting stuff with it using default settings.

Personally I've been using Wise PC Engineer for a few years and It's amazing. I think though
that they changed the name to: Wise Care 365..

One thing to note, if you use SKY go in the uk make sure the silverlight option is not ticked. It will mean you will have to re add that device to our account

I just use cleanmgr + clear browsers data via the browsers themselves.

When I've used CCleaner it hasn't freed up much space but then I keep my PC very clean as I only have a 128GB SSD.

You should delete your browsing history first before using CCleaner. This way it takes less time to finished.

yeah I like this program too. but sometime I messup and pc gets problem. I use the ccleaner pro v3.17.1689 64-bit but the thing I want to know which settings are the best to have? so I can clean my pc with the right settings without messing up.

No point in using an old version just for the 'pro' release. Just download the free up to date version to avoid messing your shit up.

All right! But does the free version has the same stuffs as the pro?

All that's in Pro is that you get support from piriform and you get an 'auto-update' feature. Both are useless, because you can get support anywhere on the internet for this, and it takes only 10 seconds to manually update it yourself.

Yeah, I use it all the time as well. I also use speccy to check the pc temps.

Very true about that. It's like if you get a free version of Windows. (Which everybody is doing it...) not worth getting help with MS. Just search engines are your help.

And about the settings? Which are the best to clean? When I install it. In windows tab i just left it like that. But in apps tab. I just uncheck the Firefox and Google chrome and left the rest untouched. But I didn't go to the registry because when I use the pro version. I clean it but it gave me problems. But I backup the registry before cleaning it. But gave me problems. I try restore the backup registry but didn't work. Don't know why. So I need it to do a clean install on windows instead.
