Yeah that tends to happen. I got quite a few pm's complaining about not being able to get past the login. The problem could be your security. (I have bitdefender) your anti-virus program may not be letting the tool access the internet which it needs to do to log you in. but it is good that you fixed it yourself.

I don't know. I used moved the editor to my laptop and it worked fine. Both the PC and the laptop are using NOD32, so I can't figure out the problem. But it's fixed now so all's cool ^^. Thanks a lot.

No prob. it is probably some setting on your pc that doesn't want it to connect to the internet. since log in forms need to connect to internet in order to log in. anyway I am remaking a lot of my tools if this game would let me inject items in then I would have remade this tool and make it add items but since there is some kind of check on the game which makes it so you can't change the file size of the save it kind of makes it pointless since it wouldn't work T^T anyway remaking my other tools now. I will try to be on as much as possible. really busy with work right now. I need to get my life all stable before I can go back to being on my pc 24/7.

I gotta ask, and I'm sorry if I sound dumb. I understand the quest items like the pages and the relics you must have at least one in your inventory. Does the same apply for the stat stones?? and what happens if I don't have one?

EDIT: Never mind, I found out. The editor crashes automatically :006:

Any chance you could work something out about needing at least 1 of the required item?? :025:

Not that I don't like what you've done so far, cause I'm really thankful ^^

Trust me if it was possible I would have made my editor inject every single item into your save. but you cannot change the size of the file for some reason (it always corrupts when you do. or it just gives a black screen) there is some kind of protection on it that prevents the change of the filesize. I and a few others have tried injecting hundreds of times. even Item swapping and it still didn't work but it worked for Magna carta 2, dead island etc.

I don't need help programming lol >.> what is needed is to figure out how to bypass the protection. you cannot change filesize of the save. (you can copy/paste a save's data into the save but all that does is make the save the same as the other one.)

salam
11-18-2012, 08:16 AM
I'm not very good at this, but have you tried comparing different files with different item quantities to see what makes the difference?? if injecting items increases file size, why not find it's hex value and find a way to modify that . . . . . . . . . . I feel silly for some reason :006:

the items are not stored in the save unless you have them >.> so no that won't work. different size depending on how many items you have (different ones) and if you can't even item swap then nothing will work lol. item swapping is basically finding the block for said item and copy/pasting the item you want to replace. hopefully that makes sense to you >.>
also you can change the quantities of items you possess you just can't add any items that you don't have to your save.

salam

What about the shops?? Any chance of modifying them?? like replacing the items there or reducing the cost to zero. Key items might not work there, but at least you could find the ultimate weapon if possible.

I haven't seen anything in the save about shops >.> but by what your saying shops get more items later on in the game? if so then if you have 2 saves that are as close as possible (one with the new item in shop and one without that item) then I can see if it is moddable. only games I know that you can mod shops are ROAW & ROAWZ.

salam
11-20-2012, 07:35 AM
Well, yeah, I go to the shop every time and new items come up. Any chance you could take a look at them or something?? Although, there are different types of shops so you might wanna be careful there. I'd start with the first weapons shop and see what can be modified from there ^^. And be careful of the quantity as well, the weapons are always 1 in the shops. I still haven't finished the game yet, but from what I see, weapons and talismans both have one of each only.

Like I said when I first made this editor I don't have the game >.> so yeah unless people provide me saves I cannot do anything >.>

You did have some when you made the editor right? can't you use those? Cause I just found out my saves got corrupted :091: and not in an unload-able state, but the ground just disappeared. I would've gladly gave you mine, otherwise.

LOL. the only saves I had when I made it are at the beginning of the game. and to find a specific thing (that doesn't have a value to search for) I need saves to compare to find the offsets.
Also I would need testers >.> since I can't add a update without knowing if it actually works. I found a couple spots that look good. but 1 of them is impossible since I would have to make the file larger. but the other one is in all saves and has the same size.

salam
11-20-2012, 07:03 PM
well, if you want them for comparison, you could have mine. I think I'm already 45% into the game. Wanna take a look??

Okay ^.^ hopefully this method works. the other method I found by comparing your save, a new game save, and a end game save is a huge difference and would require changing the filesize and I really don't want to do that since it won't work lol.

Unfortunately that's not the case. The save is not even loading, or more like the game freezes whenever you load it T_T.

ah then we are out of luck since I didn't change anything too big. and it didn't change the filesize at all. you did rehash properly right?

salam
11-22-2012, 03:52 AM
yes I did. The thing is, the save is recognized, but crashes upon loading. I don't know if that's he security you were talking about.

yeah but that usually only happens when you change the filesize >.> so yeah maybe changing shops as well messes it up....

I doubt it >.>
Seeing how you can only mod items you have and you cannot change the file size your pretty much out of luck.. if I wanted to though I could probably make an item editor that lets you mod items you currently have but that would require some research on the saves structure and frankly It isn't really worth the effort.

Actually, I think that's a good idea. Reason being is that you can alter 1 item and turn into the most powerful one in the game. Easy kills and easy bashing makes easy bosses :048:
