Hello all, I am looking to see if anyone out there knows how to change the weapons level requirement in hex editor. I know how to change the code to make weapons stronger but not changing weapon level requirements. So, if anyone out there knows and doesnt mind sharing I would love to know this or any other cool things to do in hex edit. ( like possible stat changes) If you dont want the whole world to know then send me a private message. Thank you all :)

right fter the name of the weapon should be the lvl of it....for example it was lvl 22 in (hex) it would be 16....and just so u know the stats of the weapon get lower with the lvl except the dmg if u modded it i was able to only change some stats not all would change

I know how to add more skills to a custom weapon >.> (did it on accident)
note: it does tend to kill the weapon >.> mainly since it gets rid of the percents and gives it a fixed value and gives it more skill.s again could be I did something wrong and could fix it easily or could just be changing the skills destroys the weapon. not sure >.>

Yes you can mod the level req. on a normal weapon, just search for the weapons Hex Name and then change the value that's shown in the picture I posted.

Hey this topic might be useful. I got some Barbed Defilers from The Crucible, but they are too low compared to my current weaps. It has a special ability tho, to Defile, which I want to try.

Hell again all, I am having no luck changing my weapon level in hex editor or the quality of the weapon. For example I am trying to make my Dark Avenger level 5 into a level 30. I am loading my saves up using horizon and then extracting the files. I am opening up both extracted saves in hex editor and changing what I think is the right hex code for the weapon level. The Dark Avenger has the hex code 05 right after the name. So I am highlighting that and changing it to 1E whick to my knowledge is 30. After I have made the changes to both A and B saves I replace the files in horizon with the ones I hexed and load up the game but no changes. I may be doing something wrong so any thoughts would be great. Or if you Idlehands get time maybe we can use teamviewer. Thanks all.

gloves are mess up so u wont be able to change then unless u want o freeze over and over.. ( just this(items/consumable_test_dlc_loot_drop)

change ur potion to that, then u have to edit how many bytes in total.

Anyone else having problems getting the crucible to work? Yes I put in the code. I never got mail after I beat the guardian. The only letter I got was the last part of it that you get when you are level 25. I have no others and I just started going after the 2nd key that the demons have. Anyone know why this may be happening or how I can get a fast travel to open up on the crucible?

Ok, Dudes i found out how to add whatever you want to Weapons and how to transfer Stuff from one to another.

XX = Variable Random Byte
YY = Buff Byte

The most important Stuff is this here:

XX 02 01 00 00 00 64] = Wrathsteal
XX 02 01 00 00 00 5D] = Healthsteal

Edit: The first Byte [XX] seems to change on each Save, just got one where it is A5, so simply look at the Structure instead, the first is always the same for the full Save you edit but changes from Save to Save, but the Value and Structure never change.

You only need to search the Default = [XX 02 01 00 00 00 YY] or Variantion = [XX 01 01 00 00 00 YY] within the Weapon Section or [XX 01 00 00 00 YY] in the Talisman Section, does not matter what is there, simply change it to [5D] and the Weapon will have Healsteal then to transfer to a possessed Weapon or Wrathsteal if you put a [64] there.

Now some important Things if you want made Godlike Weapons:

1. Level the possessed Weapon you want feed the Stuff down to Level 5 or so.
2. Feed the one you added Healsteal to transfer it, select it to add.
3. Feed the one you added Wrathsteal to transfer it, select it to add.
4. Feed whatever Weapons with Stuff you want transfer to it then

As soon as you can't feed anymore, go into Editor again and Level the Weapon up to your Level, you will see that the Stats will explode, like you have 10% Healsteal and Wrathsteal before, after level up you will have 60% or even 95% like mine was after, also the Damage output will go up too as all other Stuff you added before.

You need to equip it once to update the view thats all.

The Level down is important because it seems that if you build your Weapon with lower Level and then Level it up it raises everything, but if you don't level down first it does only
add the Stuff to it with the actual Level which is much much lower. Don't know why it raised the Stuff so much if you simply level your Weapon up in Hexeditor, but hey i found it out and it works perfect, so its seems the way to do it.

To do it quickly simply get alot of cheap possessed shit Weapons or change a bunch of cheap ones to possessed ones, name them so that you can find them faster, then go to Editor and add Healsteal or Wrathsteal to all of them and Level down the one you want transfer it to, then do all at once in Game and if finished Level up your Weapon.

This also works great in Combination with alot of Money and Coins, then you simply go to Vulgrim and buy alot of violet Stuff to feed to your Weapon, this Way you can easy select what to transfer too, its perfect.

I was even able to transfer Stuff from Legendary Weapons, to do that simply change them into possessed Weapons, you can even edit the Stats directly there and then feed them to your Weapons you will be able to transfer exclusive Stuff this way, however you can't transfer the Specialability this way, but who cares.

The same also works for Gear, so you can theoreticaly add Healsteal and Wrathsteal to you Gear, what means all Weapons have this no matter if on them... lol

I made Scythes with 95% Healsteal/Wrathsteal, Piercing and Frost and Armblades with 95% Healsteal/Wrathsteal, lightning, piercing this Way, they make +8000 and +9000 Damage each... ;) The best is one single shot with the Armblades (hold Y) do over 10000 Damage, i kill almost everything with a single shot, i finished the Crucible 100 Waves within 25 Mins and gone trough like butter and that on Apocalyptic, never got any problem with Health or Wrath of course... :rolf:

Also if you want much Damage too, look that you get a Scythe and Blades or what ever from the Crucible, don't know why but the have way more Damage output from the beginning as all others, may be because they are named as DLC.Weapons don't know, if you level them down they look cheaper as all others, but after adding Stuff and Level up they beat all others even if the others have the same Stuff and Level, so to make it perfect use a such one.

However Damage is dependent of your other Stats logically, but if you abuse the Stones and Relics this should not be a Problem.

I hope this Helps someone... :newsmile056:

i believe these are the codes for the different buffs
02 = xp
03 = Gilt found
40 = resistance
1E = health
3c = strength
3E = arcane
46 = crit chance
47 = crit damage

this is what i have found so far will be testing further to find the rest ... special thanks to Vulnavia for his help

will be updating soon

I can also additionally provide these ones:
[] = Visible String (what is displayed in Game) for Buff located right after FF FF FF FF above

[9F 01] - 02 = Experience
[91 01] - 03 = Gilt found
[BA 01] - 07 = Damage
[00 00] - 12 = Knockback Bonus
[B7 01] - 13 = Damage Range
[74 01] - 1E = Health
[F5 02] - 1F = Wrath
[FC 02] - 2A = Wrath Cost
[00 00] - 2B = Strength Bonus
[00 00] - 2C = Scythe Damage Bonus (Keen Talisman)
[00 00] - 34 = Ranged Damage
[7C 01] - 3C = Strength
[D7 01] - 3E = Arcane
[70 01] - 3F = Defense
[D9 01] - 40 = Resistance
[F2 01] - 46 = Critical Chance
[CE 01] - 47 = Critical Damage
[55 02] - 48 = Arcane Critical Chance
[89 01] - 49 = Arcane Critical Damage
[D9 01] - 4A = Execution Chance
[0E 02] - 50 = Fire Damage
[DD 01] - 51 = Frost Damage
[C1 01] - 52 = Shock Damage
[DF 01] - 53 = Piercing Damage
[1E 02] - 54 = Inferno Damage
[07 01] - 55 = Ice Damage
[C5 01] - 56 = Lightning Damage
[00 00] - 5A = Healing Bonus (Black Demise)
[62 01] - 5C = Healthregen
[D0 01] - 5D = Healthsteal
[74 01] - 5F = Health Per Hit
[BE 01] - 60 = Health Per Kill
[8F 01] - 63 = Wrathregen
[E4 01] - 64 = Wrathsteal
[00 00] - 66 = Wrath per hit
[D7 01] - 67 = Wrath Per Kill
[C3 01] - 6D = Reaper Energy Per Hit
[00 00] - 6E = Reaper Energy Per Kill
[C0 01] - 77 = Health On Critical Hit
[D2 01] - 78 = Wrath On Critical Hit
[00 00] - 79 = Reaper Energy on Critical Hit
[00 00] - 7B = Health on Execution
[C7 02] - 7C = Wrath On Execution
[5A 02] - 7D = Reaper Energy on Execution
[6B 01] - FE = Thorns

I will perhaps fill in the corresponding Codes for the visible String too, so you can not only add the buff but also change the visible String so that it displays correctly. I moded a Talisman now that provides my 208% Healthsteal and Wrathsteal, it works and then every Weapon gives you Health and Wrath, so you never again need to mod possessed Weapons to add this. :bigsmile2:

Btw. The Talismans have a String like XX 01 00 00 00 00 only but same Structure. I tried to add more than 4 Attributes, worked but then Game crashed. I know now how to add 5 to a Talisman but it only works if you find one with Thorns and Executionchance in one and if there are long Strings in there for both, its then exactly 183 Bytes which allows you to add 3 * 61 bytes, one Block has 61 Bytes, so if there are two Attributes and the one i mentioned, you can overwrite the two other with 3 * 61 Bytes Blocks and add 3 Attributes more which makes then 5 on One... I try to find other Combinations but its not easy and the game does not seem to like if you simply insert the Blocks, so you need to find a perfect one with the perfect Space for the 61 Byte Blocks you want add, but well, the one i have now is just perfect.

Edit: Its also possible that the VisibleStringBytes get reassigned, so i suppose they are not really static, a pity, but well i let them stay as reference.
The only really static Value is the Buff Code, so if you can't find the VisibleStringCode, simply search it in your Save, like you search another Item
with the same buff and look at where the VisibleStringCode is, then simply copy it, its always static within the same Save.

I suppose its dependent which Items you have, because if you have only one Item with a specific buff then long Strings are used within the save, all
other items you then pick up with the same buff will get a VisibleStringCode instead of the Longstring and i suppose they simply reassign them on
the fly if you throw away or sell Items and you don't have any one with a specific buff.

This is also probably the Reason Saves are changing so often, but it does not make Things more difficult if you simply learn the Structure i posted some
posts below, you only need to locate one (Offset in Block stays the same!) and then you can use the Bytes before because they are always static within
the Save and i'm quite sure it will till you throw away, sell, buy or pick up something.

How does visible string work exactly? I mean I don't see them anywhere.

Vulnavia
09-03-2012, 04:45 PM
Ok, here a full 65 Byte Block of a Weapon-Buff-Section:

D0 01 = Code for visible String of Buff displayed in Game
CF = Random Byte that can change but is static per Save
5D = Code for Buff
75 01 = Value of Buff

6F 01 28 01 00 FF FF FF FF D0 01 0F 00 00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 01
00 00 00 CF 01 01 00 00 00 5D 00 00 00 FF FF FF
FF 75 01 CE 01 75 01 04 01 01 00 00 00 00 00 00
00

The visible String is simply what you see in Game eg. if you change a Arcane buff into Healthsteal then in Game
you still see Arcane but the new buff is active, but if you edit the Visible StringCode too then you will see the
String Healthsteal correctly, its only cosmetic but also helps to locate the Section too somehow.

Thanks for all the info Vulnavia! Such a big help.

What is the maximum amount you can enter for the stats? I'm trying to mod damage on my scythes, but it crashes when I try anything but what other weapons have like F0 01. Is there any way to get really higher stats than that?

And when the attributes have it separated with the $description then the actual code for the buff, I don't see where to change the value of the buff, since there's no repeating numbers. But the buffs that don't have the $description is easy to find the value. Can you please tell us how to mod the ones with the $description? It seems all my armor have their attributes separated that way and I don't know how to change their values.

Vulnavia
09-06-2012, 12:27 AM
Ok, i will post a Picture with a Talisman with a such $Desc, you will see its not quite different.
Also it is possible to change the Description too to another if you want, but the Stringlength must remain the exact same.
This Descriptions are only a sort of VisibleStringCode, the actual Buff within can be changed like all others, but to change the
Description itself the Stringlength must remain the same. As i know now, this $Descriptions are only used if you have only one
Item with this Buff on it, all others with the same will have only a Code and no $Description.

Here a little Picture with Infos to mod a Talisman with a $Description buff:

9398

Here is a good Case where you can change "Damage" into "Chance" and the Stringlength will remain the same, however its only
the String visible in Game that will change, you will still need to change the actual Buff "49" into "48" else you have Chance displayed
but Damage is the buff...

Also i still don't know what the actual Value of the buffs are, i suppose those Values are retrieved from a Table and no real Values,
so its still the best to copy this Values from other Items. The highest Value i actually know is [BB 01 FC 01 BB 01] i also suppose
that the middle Part of the Values are some sort of Multiplicator, but i don't know for sure. So you can try to either copy the Value(s)
only or all including the middle Part to see what happens. [BB 01 FC 01 BB 01] should be over 760 so that's a quite big Value for most
Things.

One additional Thing, the Values are connected to the Level of the Item somehow, so if you raise the level the Values will raise too.

Edit: As i reached Level 30 i mod a new Talisman and got one with blowing 700 of Defense, Krit, Arcane and Resistence, so it works, you can transfer Stats from one Weapon to Talismans or Weapons, you need to copy the full Potion, the 6 Bytes to copy it 100%, but it still has some other Factor i need to analyze, but i think i know where it is. But it does not matter if you only want to transfer the Values. Important is to take the values from your Save, as i seen that the Values get reassigned too like the VisibleStringCodes, so taking over High Values from another Save does not mean you have the same Number then.

Edit2: Found out that Scythes have a max Damage, if you set it higher it get reset to zero or even subzero, max Damage is 291 for Scythes.
Also don't add to much Elementar Damage, if you set it too high it does not apply anymore, so the best is to let it where it is and add huge
amount of Arcane with an Talisman to boost Elementar Damage, this works.
For all secondary Weapons you can set Damage very high, i have now Armblades with the Damage of Aftermath, makes 18'000 Damage per Seconds and
blows the Limits if doing Critical, i got 2 Millions once, don't know if the Game can handle this if i do a Combo with 20 Enemy around..... rofl!

- Level is the Level of the Item(max is 30 = $1E)
- Status is the Status of the Item (normal[1], magic[2], rare[3], legendary[4], possessed[5] - last only for Weapons)

one more question in order to change a regular scythe into a possessed weapon would i simply change the status or is there more to do ?

Vulnavia

one more question in order to change a regular scythe into a possessed weapon would i simply change the status or is there more to do ?

If you change Status into $05 it will be possessed, and you can also add Healthsteal or Wrathsteal to other cheap Weapons to feed it then to a possessed one to transfer the
Buff. Or you change a Scythe into a possessed one and lower the Level feed some Stuff to completely fill it and then you edit the same Scythe again (Name it to find it easly) then
you change the Buffs and the VisibleStringCode(search for it in your Save) and then set the Level to your Level and all Buffs and Damage will go up once you equip it in Game.
Once your Level raises you can always set it later to you actual level and it will raise all Buffs and Damage again.

But i suggest to only add Healsteal and Wrathsteal and to set this Buffs higher, don't set the Elementardamage or Piercingdamage higher because it will do nothing if too high.
Instead make a Talisman that gives you 600+ Defense, Arcane, Strength, Resistance and mod your Gear to set all Stats as high you need them, this will raise the Damage of
Elemental and other Damage. Or you mod a Talisman once that gives you 600+ Defense, Healsteal, Wrathsteal, Resistance and you don't have to think about to mod any Weapons
again concerning Healsteal and Wrathsteal.

I reached 12'000 Damage per Second for the Scythe and about 25'000 Damage per Second for the Secondary Weapon, its probably the max you can get, but with all the other Stats
i raised i get now around 99'000 Damage per Hit, this could be raised even further if i would raise the Critical Damages, but honestly this alone blows everything with one Hit, even the biggest
Boss go down with one Hit in Apocalyptic Mode, so its really overkill already. In the Crucible everything including the Argul Boss in Wave 75 is down with a single Shot of the Armblades
and the last Boss get instantly in Execution Mode with one Hit, so yeah more is definitely not needed.

But well its only for fun, i already finished the game twice now anyway, who knows perhaps i will remove the NG+ Flag and do it a third Time only for Fun with the actual Gear and Weapons, but i think i will switch to another game soon now because i know this Thing in and out now, there is nothing interesting anymore for me. And even if the Sequel is quite bigger than the first, it has become too small somehow now, i hope the third Part will be twice as big and less linear.

You have to find another higher Number(Buff Values can't be interpreted or moded directly, they have to be copied from another Item within the Save!) eg. if you have a secondary Weapon with 670 Damage then take this Value and set it into your Talisman, it will probably not be exactly the same but around +600% then. Also yeah you can change the Damage of Legendary Weapons too if there is a Value for the Damage Buff. The only Thing that does not work is putting Scythes Damage higher than 291, it will get reset to subzero, so don't try it.

That looks like the right Spot. You can either copy the two identical Values from another Weapon with higher Values or copy all 6 Bytes, i still don't exactly know what the middle part is, but i suppose its a sort of Multiplicator, so copy all 6 Bytes from another better Weapon to get approx the same Values. But i repeat it does not work correctly on Scythes for some Reason, the Game will not crash but you will get subzero Values if the Damage is higher than approx 291 for Scythes.

What do you mean with "Levels"? The actual Level of the Item? If so then i can only say, my Game never crashed only because of changing the Level or the Status, important is that the Level can't be higher than 30 = $1E and that the Status can only be $01-$05. If the Game crashes only because you edited the Level of the Item, i suppose you don't edited the right Spot.

Ok, nice to know, so these values there are Part of the first Values somehow, i never tested this. But i kill already anything with one Hit, does not matter if 100'000 or 16 Million Damage. But you will blow the Online Statistics for sure with 16 Million Damage per Weapon... rofl

why i can't upgrade after change regular weapon to possessed? sorry for my bad english

You can only upgrade true possessed Weapons, the best are such with no Stats at all, if you only mod the Status they have possessed Status but the Upgrade does not work. Also i still not found out how to set back true possessed Weapons into the State where you can upgrade again, so once a possessed one is fully upgraded its over. But of course you can still mod each Buff and what ever.

Ok, here its is, however i was not able to change all VisibleStringCodes because there was no other Items with the same buff or because the Thing you wanted i change has longdesc only with different Lengths... Also there was no known Legendary Weapons present to take Values over, so only buffs changed like you wanted. For the Talisman i was so free to change it to Wrathcosts instead of Wrath, because using less % is certainly better than too have a little bit more available...

9538I keep seeing everyone talking about lowering the levels of possesed items, so when you feed them they get stronger. I'm looking to up my possessed axe in order to get huge damage from it. Everyone is posting strings to identify items and what to change, BUT I never see any of those strings in my code. My axe is already fully leveled (max upgrade for possessed), I'd like to feed it more and get the insane damage. That way I can play the game, and if something irritates me *cough* diposed king *cough* I can smash it in the face.

the leveling down part is the level required to wield said weapon if you have a high level possessed weapon and feed it items it has ok stats if you feed a low level weapon modded items with high stats then relevel the possessed weapon back to your level it will have crazy everything

to change weapon damage right after the 01 18 01 which is right after the word axe is where you need to look the 00 is weapon damage change it to FF to have over 100,000 in 1 normal hit

btw the deposed king will still need to be hit more than once due to the fact its a boss character it will still take timing to beat him and get the execute prompt

I changed if to FF, but it still does normal damage. Around 1148. Is there something I missed? I changed the 01 18 01 00 to 01 18 01 FF.

The only problem is, there are some people like myself that don't have the 01 04 01. Mine specifically has the 01 18 01. I believe the game has been patched in some way, because I change my damage to FF FF, and it gets back to 01 FF or 00 FF.

hi Xpendable the is the string of code to look for

07000000FFFFFFFFC401D701C4010001FFFFFF

look for 07 to start with then go to where the string goes C401D701C401 Which will be different to yours but look for the same 2 codes in the string i.e C401 then once you have found that go to the end of it and you have 0001 again might be different for yours but after that 0001 or what ever yours is put from 2 to 6 f's.

07000000FFFFFFFF060044616D616765C101C4010001FFFFFF

this is my other weapon same princable as above but it only has 1 C401 which is the same code as above if you can find that same code then you can change the damage.

Sorry for the late reply.

And thanks man, it worked only on a different weapon.

I've changed the save, and changed the name of it so it's easier for you to find.

The name is "modsky" and it's a level 31 posessed sythe. You'll find it at 00022F8A.

If you can add healthsteel (or health of crit + more crit chance) on it, that would be fantastic as I'm taking a LOT of damage.
