View Full Version : Is it possible to record xbox 360 gameplay with samsung smart tv.

I don't watch tv much but I need another tv and heard that one of those samsung smart tv can record tv shows by plugging a hard disc. Can I record gameplay as well? Sell clerk have no idea. thanks.

Short answer: No.

Or at least very unlikely, unless this is some magical new Samsung unit that has been outfitted with true, user-source recording for the external drive. And, even if that was the case, you would still need to get the footage back to your computer to edit and upload it.

If you want to record 360 gameplay, you'll need something along the lines of a PVR or capture card (ex: Hauppauge HD PVR, BlackMagic Intesity Pro, etc). The Gameplay Recording forum @ Stream Recorder (http://stream-recorder.com/forum/gameplay-recording-f68.html) is a good starting point to learn more on the subject.
