Idea to be able to mod pretty much anything [Borderlands 2]

Has anyone checked to see if the raw savedata loads on the pc game of borderlands, because on the pc version you can edit pretty much anything just by using cheat engine.

It's just an idea but I could be completely wrong.

Cheat engine edits the memory doesn't it? So the equivalent would be to dump your ram on a jtag/rgh and use artmoney or something similar to find the offsets in memory to edit.
