Did you try the latest, fixed version of the Godfather AIO? I know it was updated a few times and supposedly corrected problems people were having with Godfather 1.

Try that if you haven't already. If you continue to have issues, I would suggest posting in that thread as well.

Post in the above-referenced thread so that the author can be made aware of the issue and, hopefully, help you resolve it. When you do, make sure to mention how you are extracting your save(s). It seems like that is the root cause of your problems.
