Just started working on a Universe Editor for WWE13. It will be like my Texture Tool, will only be for xbdm plugin or devkit 360s.
I started this thread to list features as I add them, and to ask for any suggestions. I am mostly ONLY going to add things to it, that you can not normally do in the game. If it's a simple basic function that can be done while in the game, it most likely won't be added to the program.
Feature List so far:
Add Match (You can have up to 8 total matches per show) or Delete Match from a show (Currently only adds a 1 vs 1 match, but you can edit it in the game)
Change the participants of the people for the match you add
Features to Add:
Change the participants in each match. It will allow you to make NPCs show up in matches, or intergender matches without changing their gender (No DQ Rule required).
Change the rules for each match. You could turn off all win conditions, etc.
Increase/Decrease ALL wrestler's stats at once. For example, make all strikes lower by 50.
Any more ideas you can come up with and sounds good to add.
This is what the interface looks like so far. It will be changing dramatically though.

Woo! This is what we like to see! But I must ask, POKE? Can I make a request? Can the splash screen be something related to lolcat? Everytime I see silly cat memes, it reminds me of kayne. Ahh yes, the old XHP troll.
But anyway, really looking good so far. So we can safely say, Once you go Brien, there ain't no point in tryin'. LOL. Good stuff
EDIT: Heres an idea, why not add a function to save the ip address? For guys like me who don't have their IP change it'd be useful. Just a thought ;)

It already reads the default console's IP and automatically fills it in. If it doesn't do that for you in my other tool, then setup a default console in Xbox 360 Neighborhood. Not sure if the XDK is required to set the default console though.

If the IP address doesn't fill in immediately upon opening the program, it won't fill in automatically. Don't hit connect without a correct IP or devkit name in that text box, or it might crash.

Just a small update, I've been working on getting it all set up, so I can release an early beta. In the beta, you will be able to add or delete matches on your show, up to 8 matches, or down to 1. Not sure what happens if you delete all the matches, I may try that though before release. You will be able to change the participants of each match, as well as the match rules for each match type. So for example, you could make a Diva the Special Guest Referee for a match between two male wrestlers. You could make an Inferno Ladder Match. You could make an inter-gender match without actually changing the gender of the women to men, or vice versa (making the match No DQ is required though). You could make NPCs be in the match as the Special Referee. This will just be the beginning. Eventually there will be a lot more added as I can add it. I may take a poll to see what features to put in next, because I have a few ideas, but won't worry about that until the beta is released.
It sure takes a long time to type out 120 different match types. :006:

Will your universe tool be able to global edit retail systems with no problems? If not I can make a stand alone tool to do global edits and match editor, but I wont if yours will do global edits on retail.

Global edits? Do you mean doing all the stats at once? My tool is only going to be made to interface with the game running on the Xbox 360, because it's rather ridiculous to have to take the save off your Xbox and transfer to the PC, change the one show, put it back, play that show, and then repeat the process every time there is a new show. I'm sure there are people that are crazy enough to do that, but I don't want to support or condone people that have no life ...

Yes edit all stats at once.

This is not hard when you code the Tool good. My WWE12 have this feature and the new WWE13 to ;) You guys are close with the features to my current Project maybe its time for me add more hacks :) Like Title Editor and Entrance Editor.

Exactly, that's what is taking so long to release this baby. I am setting it all up so that it can be upgraded and expanded later. If you don't setup your program correctly, just adding one little thing can become a nightmare.

Oh I Know brother. My personal tool is fine I put things in array and use enums. I would be crazy not to do that since this game has so much people and other things, but when you released(gave away) your source it became a nightmare for those people who are beginners at coding , so many errors when they try to add new things without understanding what going on. That is why I hope when I talk Hacker T or arjun that they used enums and arrays or else I might as well release a stand alone global editor and match editor.
Sidenote:
I waiting for you or brienj to figure out how to unlock the npc and make them playable in universe mode with no restrictions eg: add to brand(s) edit stat in game etc etc. I thought you guys would have figured it out by now. It is possible on retail system with no DLC purchased. ;)

Alright, there is one thing I can't figure out again, and I can't find my notes about it from the previous games, but I need to know where in the save it gets the info on what show Universe is currently on. It's really irritating me, because I figured it out years prior, but of course can't find my notes on it. As it is now, you have to manually select the correct show in this editor, and I can't find the show automatically. I can release it this way, and it will work, but it would be nice to add the ability for my program to just select the correct show by itself.
Also, I know how to select the type of match, the match rules for the match, the wrestlers in the match, whether the match is a normal match, highlight of the night, main event, etc., who controls the wrestlers, i.e. p1, p2, cpu, etc., but there are some other bytes I forget what they control, and of course having difficulty finding all the notes I wrote on it last year. If any other WWE13 tool developers have any info on the matches and want to share, that would be great, because I want to have all bytes accounted for, at least for the final release. It's good enough for now, but could be better.
So if any of you guys want to share any info you have, I will make sure to include you in the credits for anything you found that I haven't found yet. Even if I've found it before last year, I'll still give you credit, since I can't seem to find the notes on this.

I don't use arrays, I use classes for everything. Objects are even easier. ;)
Also, I haven't had the time to look into that yet. I did a little bit, but it was taking up too much time. I figured the info was contained in one of the game files, but if it's in the save, then that would make it easier to find. If you feel like sharing, that would be cool, and it would save me the hassle of figuring it out.

What do you mean by this? Do you mean what day the show/ppv is on so the modification can be activated (eg: have raw on saturday or smackdown on monday) or are you speaking something different?
Also are you going to include a title belt stats tracker since I believe in theory is we set champ using the tracker we can have npc playable on retail.Just a theory though.

No, I know how to do the modifications for what shows are on what days, what I mean is like when your save is loaded, how does Universe know what show you are on, for example, if you quit playing Universe Mode and are at the Extreme Rules PPV, how does the game keep track of where you are on the calendar, so when you load up Universe Mode, the calendar goes to the Extreme Rules PPV? That's what I mean, so my tool can automatically go to the correct day on the calendar, instead of the person having to manually select the Extreme Rules PPV to start customizing stuff. I want it so that when my program connects, it can figure out that the active show should be that PPV and already have that show selected. I had that shit figured out last year and the year before, but I can't find any notes on it. I may not have even wrote it down, but I've completely forgot how to do it. *big facepalm*
I found the stats for the title belts, but really didn't look into it too much, although I could add the ability to change those stats or something. If you have all the info on the stat tracking already figured out and want to share, I can see about adding it.

Just a quick update, I should be within a day or two of releasing at least some kind of beta to play around with. I hate being like THQ and having the consumer do my testing for me, but I suppose I will treat you like the QA team that THQ doesn't have. :D
I just found something big to add to the match editing, it shouldn't take too long to add it.

Edit: So it does! My system had a rrod after I bought your tool last year so I never got to fully test the feature. I like how yours breaks the roster down into categories that can be individually managed as superstars, divas, dlc, and caws. Very useful! Hope others here borrow from this idea and implement a similar system. If I had the extra cash, I'd buy your own tool, but right now I'm relying on one of these free tools to pull me through with the holidays close!

In my opinion, only an editor with a moveset editor included should cost anything. PUR3 RAF3X has a right to be compensated for his time, but hopefully he will at least give a free version to people like you that were moderators at the old forum.

Yes this is right. Its better we doing nothing with Moveset Editor. I talk few days ago with another guy and he can destroy the Game for all lol. I play this Game only Offline so I dont care about any hacked Moveset Online but many cry when I write an Moveset Editor ;)

Have you figure out how the cut scene work or are we stuck with the random nonsense?
I would like to see a way to edit the title belt. I know by looking at the con file that THQ is just using web colors for each section of the belt. I thought the create a belt feature was in the game but I must be missing it.

I am slowly. There is a LOT of initial setup for most of the things that will be in the program. The coding part is the easiest part.

Ok, I finally touched this game after a couple days and one thing that erks me is the TLC match. BrienJ, Have you found a way to make the brief case stay up longer? I ask because the damn A.I only has to pull the case three times and match is over. Is it me or does the "Epic" mode not work for specialty matches.

You might want to try it on a retail Xbox, the game has received a patch or two that included AI fixes, one of them makes them more aggressive about using signatures/finishers. I did a ladders match just the other day and it took the AI a lot of work to get that briefcase down.

Thanks I didn't even know there was a patch out. Thq is known for releasing one patch a game , so I didn't think it was out yet. I am on retail Xbox I don't have jtag only a flashed xbox360 and regular xbox360.

From what I understand they've had to make some AI changes because certain things weren't playing out right in Attitude Era. I managed to find some patch notes:

Damn you THQ.....I haven't really played any specialty matches much, like the TLC match, nor have I really messed with changing from Normal to Epic. I've used the Quick setting once, to make a squash match, but that's it.

They are going out of business in the middle of January. Wells Fargo is going to own their assets at that time. There are no patches coming. They keep telling people that they found the issues people were having, blah, blah, blah, but it's all hot air to keep people off of their backs until they go under. Sorry, but that's the reality of it.

Actually I'm pretty sure they HAD to tweak the AI a bit because it was behaving in such a way that made it difficult to fulfill attitude era objectives.
He was saying the NPC wrestlers tug down the briefcase with just three tugs on his version and I haven't had that experience. It could just be random chance but it could be the patch as well.

No, that isn't the upcoming DLC, that is a CAW with an imported Selection Picture.

And I hope it does include the caw injector element as even Arjuns program isn't work all the time for me. Lazy rainbows injector doesn't always work. At least yoir injector at last year worked wiithout failing. Not sure if you remember me but I contributed to XHP with caws sharing. Hope you reply soon

I will be updating my CAW Editor to allow you to inject CAWs that you don't want to modify, however, once you modify anything on it, and I mean ANYTHING, you can no longer inject the CAW without having to resave each attire in the game again for it to work.
I like the progress update. And your idea of making a WWE 12 to WWE 13 caw importer is great. Ok let me get this straight say I dont modify anything using the editor and inject a caw from another save and make a modification in the game itself that be ok right?
Also say once I done injection and than extracted it again to use the editor to modify it ..to get round crotch blur ..I have to re-save everything in game after injection again? Is that correct?
and debug capabilities I am assuming you mean JTAGG but rest of the program works in retail right? How comes the selection screen stuff wont work in retail this year I guess is it too much work? No worries man whatever you do is great..

Can't say I ever touch Universe, as I'm more of a Story Designer guy, so this isn't something that I personally would use, but it's awesome to see you make something like this for those who will. Thanks for another great contribution.

@Brienj not sure if you will reply to me but any idea when the caw injector be ready? I don't necessarily care about the wwe12 cas to wwe13 conversion but more about the injecting bit as not all programs work all the time without several tries
