Hey guys, I was thinking we could help Renegade out with his editor for the Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Garden data. So I thought about starting a project to help him out. I call it the XBox Live Arcade Sonic Adventure 2 Chao Genome Project. Basically we take notes on the values that are in the data and we give them to Renegade. However, we need another person that can fix the CRC32 Checksum in the Chao Garden data. Or since this is a project, we can learn how to fix it ourselves so we can give Renegade the data he needs for his editor. Luckily I prepared a save for this. This is just a copy of my Chao Garden save so that we can work on this project together. I'll update the save file every once in awhile as I'm trying to get the 3 Chaos Chao since they can be obtained without hacking. Do not worry, if you mess up the save you can always re-download it but always make a back-up just in case you really screw up. What do you guys think? Is this a good idea or what?

I don't need help. The purpose of me and Lance making the editor is to cover all of the Sonic games on the Xbox 360.

Ah ok, that's cool. I'm just starting my own project for which values mean which. Like for the Omochao for example, I need to know which value controls the Model type for the brown Chao that I got. It doesn't have to be just to help you with your editor, it can be so everyone can learn how the checksum works while we wait for the editor to be released so we can get the Chao we want through Hex editing if we wish to.

honestly brett that would slow them down even more besides all they need to do is sort the check sum / security out for SA2, if you really want to learn so decrypt saves and/or fix the check sums either start a new thread asking for help learning or check the forums for help on check sums or something.

I shall do that then. Thank you.
